Theo off the Naughty Step?

Welcome to Bate Borisov. We beat you at your noisy home ground and tonight you will admire our magnificent, state of the art stadium which is likely to be half-full. I expect you to lose again.

We have already topped the group, can’t do any better than that, so I expect to see a weakened team with another host of youngsters.  Shame for the Belarus champions who must have been thrilled to draw AFC  and expected to see Ozil, Sanchez, Ramsey etc instead they will get Eddie, Nelson and Maitland Niles, though whomever plays in the red and white they represent Arsenal and must give their best.

Another big night for Jack Wilshire who will be given the task of orchestrating the team, can he/will he achieve his potential or will be become another multi-millionaire wasting his talents at West Ham? I wish him well.

My Team:

Chambers   Holding   Elneny

Debuchy    Nelson    Willock   Maitland-Niles

Walcott   Giroud

Walcott has to regain some confidence and form, he is a very good player; he can have a future at AFC IF he finds consistent form. Let us not forget that he was second top scorer last season with 19. Trouble is that it is a Big If.

Apparently we have sold over 50k tickets for tonight which I find surprising.  We shall see… Hopefully, Eddie will get some minutes to liven up the crowd in the second half.

We can and should win this.

So liming with Fred at today’s game

  2. mickydidit89 says:

    Thanks Erik

Don’t know how these things work, but I’d imagine that out of the 50k tickets, many would have been the ST holders who probably have their cash seized for this game, like it or not. Dunno

I’m afraid I’m getting a little tired of Jack, as no matter how crap the opposition, he never seems to dominate a game. Shame as he has so much fight and quality DNA

  3. mickydidit89 says:

    Last thought

Never appears to get enough game time in either 1st or 2nd XI

  4. GoonerB says:

    Theo through the middle……….

Thanks Raddy. Lucky it was you who started talking about Theo being a good (or at least useful and dangerous) player because you seem to have got away with it. Had it been me the ensuing comments would have entailed men with white coats, padded cells, and Valium….possibly even a one flew over the cookoo’s nest partial brain removal, with terry playing big chief and smashing his way out once I start rocking to and fro and mumbling incoherently about Kleftico.

Is BFG injured? Would like to see Nelson given a go at left inside forward (Sanchez position). He looks to have the quality of an attacking forward that would be wasted at FB or WB. Lets not have another “play in every conceivable position AOC” situation.

  5. GunnerN5 says:

Thank you for the PM Raddy.

I always look forward to seeing our youngsters display their skills, I wonder if Theo will play? His inconsistency has cost him a place and it seems he is out of favour – it would not surprise me to see him sold during the January transfer window.

  6. Big Raddy says:

I look forward to the youngsters as well, though I am will be less happy if AW continues with the youth team plus reserves in the next round

  7. fred1266 says:

Any AAers at tonight game or at FFB

  8. chas mobile says:

    Cheers, BR, top stuff.

Bate have to win tonight, so hopefully it will be an attacking game with plenty of goalmouth action.

Ant and me aren’t there tonight. So no need to look out for any geezers in glasses. 😊

  9. fred1266 says:

Am on East stand looking like upper tier again

  10. mickydidit89 says:

Ah ha, so that’s where Danny is. And Jeff

Disappointing no starts for Nelson and Nketiah

Ospina, Debuchy, Chambers, Holding, Maitland-Niles, Elneny, Coquelin, Wilshere, Walcott, Welbeck, Giroud

Subs: Macey, Sheaf, Nelson, Reine-Adelaide, Willock, Nketiah, Akpom

  11. mickydidit89 says:

    What formation?

  12. mickydidit89 says:

    Help. Team picture?

  13. mickydidit89 says:

    4-3-3 or 3-4-3

  14. mickydidit89 says:

    Ah, thanks

  15. mickydidit89 says:

Ok, 8:05 KO. Now I understand the lack of buzz. Thought it might have been the desperately boring line up 🙂

  16. Big Raddy says:

    Nice attacking team.

    Is there a stream?

  22. Big Raddy says:

Wow. What a hit from Debuchy. Rosicky-esque

  23. mickydidit89 says:

    That was a rocket 🙂

  24. Big Raddy says:

    Micky. Could be Copenhagen

  25. fred1266 says:

Chas sitting lower got a seat for you

  26. fred1266 says:

    Stadium has plenty empty seats

  27. Big Raddy says:

    Lovely from Theo.

The Irish commentator is a total onanist. We are playing weel, completely dominating and this fool is trying to present us as being woeful.

  28. Big Raddy says:

Super finish from Jack. He has had a superb half and is head and shoulders the best player out there

  29. mickydidit89 says:

    Superb goal from Jack

Only a few minutes ago I was thinking I wish Jack would shoot more often. Then crowd screamed shooooot and he did. Then two mins late THAT

Really pleased for Jack. I’ve had this awful feeling he’d plateau’d off

  34. Rasp says:

Brilliantly entertaining half of football. The quick passing and first time control is excellent. It seems competition for places is producing dividends … Theo looking much stronger and more determined.

  35. mickydidit89 says:

    Very entertaining

I am currently out of the office.

    Hasta luego

  44. chas says:

Could you recommend an idiot’s guide to bitcoin amd its possible effects?
I keep seeing shit like this and it’s starting to creep me out a bit.
    Is the apocalypse approaching?

  45. chas says:

  46. Big Raddy says:

    Morning All,

    6.51. Weirdly entertaining

  47. Eddiee says:

6 nil?? oh wow, some result!
And the press is all about jacko, did he really shine?

  48. Eddie says:

you should only worry about bitcoin if you have them. GN5, Raddy and I lost small fortunes on shares, it is a dangerous game.

My half- sister’s husband was a German investment banker. He had a large portfolio of wealthy clients and his own investments. When the bubble burst in 1995 he lost all his money and lots of clients money. He was sued, suffered a nervous breakdown and has never recovered from it.

I fired my financial advisor a couple of years ago because he claimed that he knew what’s happening in the market. Nobody knows that. And a new crash is long overdue, I think

  49. GoonerB says:

Good football played last night. It potentially raises more headaches for Arsene as to how he should use his squad most effectively. Who does he prioritise as first 11 players?

I said in the past that I wasn’t keen on us altering formation. City seem to do it to good effect but with us I always feel that our players don’t have the tactical know how or training to understand what they need to do in the different formations to make them effective but still solid. Ideally we could switch between 2-3 formations and give some of the players last night more playing time, or we risk losing them.

  50. fred1266 says:

12 goals in 3 matches nice trip for the Emirates

  51. mickydidit89 says:

    Sure. Later as away today.
Usual step one though: ignore eddie 🙄

  52. chas mobile says:

    Nice one, Freddie.
It was a shame you were a Jonah for the Manc game though. 😊😊😊😊😊

  53. Big Raddy says:

Looks a bit chilly in UK. Be careful out there.

  54. Eddie says:

it’s about to get very hot in a moment
what the feck do you mean – usual step 1 ignore Eddie??!!! ey??

  55. chas mobile says:

So you think step one should be
    ……take advice from Eddie……?

  56. Big Raddy says:

Seems a logical Step One to me. Can you think of better?

  57. GunnerN5 says:

A better one would be not to upset Eddie!!!

  58. chas says:

    December 8th

  59. mickydidit89 says:

    Ok Chas
    All clear
    Fire away 🙂

ps although, you being your diligent self, I suspect has already googleized the crap out of bitcoin

  60. mickydidit89 says:

12 o’clock KO tomorrow. Now that is rubbish

  61. Eddie says:

chas – in a nutshell – absolutely yes. I am very good at giving advice. Not so good at taking advice. my son calls me ‘askhole’ – I ask for advice and then promptly ignore it 🙂 I can make up my own mind

tell us about bitcoin, chas reads every word sooner or later

  62. Big Raddy says:

    Morning All,

Bitcoin seems to me to be a bit Emperor’s New Clothes. Though I wish I had put a few pence into them a couple of years ago when advised to do so.

12 k.o is complete rubbish and does not allow A&C to get properly fuelled ahead of the match

  63. mickydidit89 says:

    Morning gang

I think it’s only fair to keep the crypto thing off air, as we’ll lose all the footbally people

A few sliders early doors is a good thing, but bitcoin is too big a topic

Re the 12 KO. It’s the downside to Europa. First relegated to sunday, then relegated below yer Utd’s and City’s to the earliest KO time. For the shorter winter days, it should at least be dark before the whistle blows

  64. Eddie says:

ha ha ha micky 🙂 that’s the most feeble excuse I have seen on this site yet 🙂

  65. mickydidit89 says:

Seriously, I spend 3-4 hours a day on crypto/bitcoin, and it would take forever

Simply, yes I’m a fan, and on many levels, but I’d never advise anyone what do do with their loot. Your call. I’m all in though 🙂

  66. mickydidit89 says:

    Now off out for air

  67. Eddie says:

you can advice ME what to do with my loot, I am prepared to blow the remaining £20, no more loot left I am afraid

  68. Eddie says:

    today in Cuffley

  69. Eddie says:

now guys, how much do you think gentlemen with Scottish uncles pay for a day with gunshots and flapping pheasants? I made enquiries with the gent on the photo so I am in the know

  70. Eddie says:

nobody around? all watching Chelsea game I suppose

  71. chas mobile says:

  72. Big Raddy says:

    Morning All,.

    Cat vid fascinating.

    Game day. Post to write.

  73. chas mobile says:

  74. Eddie says:

omg, Chelsea subs had a pink hot water bottle to keep warm. Is it legal??

  75. chas says:

    December 9th

  76. chas says:

Pink hot water bottles should definitely be illegal.

  77. mickydidit89 says:

If the weather is as rough and wet along the coast in Southampton, then wellies required

    Morning All

Cat prints is no cooler than you’d expect from a cat

  78. Eddie says:

these santa photos put me off Christmas

  79. chas says:

Apparently a cat’s back feet land exactly where the front feet were a moment before because they know the footing will be sound. Helps for balancing, walking along tightropes etc. 🙂

  80. Eddie says:

I didn’t know that cats make only 2 prints with each step. My german sheppard did that

Seriously though guys – how much do you think gentlemen with Scottish uncles pay for a day of gunshots and flapping pheasants, take a guess

  81. chas says:

Are you usually a big Christmas fan then?

What sort of image encapsulates Christmas for you?

  82. chas says:

    3 to 4 hundred pounds

  83. Eddie says:

baby jesus 🙂 children singing ‘Little Donkey, little donkey’, St Paul’s cathedral’s choir

No, you are right, not big fan of Christmas full stop. Difficult time for any family, seeing too much of them, receiving unwanted gifts, watching people eating and drinking more than you’d think was possible, wrappers and vomit to clear up in the morning. I wish it was February already

Call me old fashioned, but like the religious part of xmas

  84. mickydidit89 says:

If they’re posh, then free with the invitation

Oiks and bankers? Few grand a gun

  85. Ant says:

I am as sure as Eddie has an opinion on anything, that Fred is not a real person and can’t wait until 1st April to find out who created him.

  86. Eddie says:

I thought it was about £100

    A day: £35 per bird, 350 birds, 9 guys. I make it £1244 each. A day!

  87. Eddie says:

feck off Ant. you is not real. Nothing wrong with having a learnt opinion on everything.

  88. mickydidit89 says:

    Check email.

  89. Eddie says:

oooh, I want that email too

  90. mickydidit89 says:

No you don’t Eddie Darling 🙂

  91. mickydidit89 says:

    So jealous
Just had pics from my sister in the Cotswolds. Snowed in.
    I want to go tobogganing

  92. Eddie says:

    I don’t? ok.

  93. Ant says:

    Check e mail from me

  94. Ant says:

What are you sending Chas pics of your sister tobogganing in the Cotswolds?

  95. Ant says:

Have you got a new bearded boyfriend Eddie?

  96. Ant says:

  97. Big Raddy says:

    😀 😀

    There is a New Post
