Pino also on Arsenal’s radar at FW position

  2. fatgingergooner says:

Dendoncker to Villa, Luiz to Arsenal.

Sounds good to me. Excellent cover for Partey, good age, proven in the PL, another Brazil international, and cheap as in last year of his contract.

Hope we get it done. Would love another wide player aswell but probably too late for that now. Looking like another excellent window though from Edu and the boys!

  3. RC78 says:

Luiz coming to Arsenal would be great, indeed. Hard-working, good on the ball…

Ramsdale – Tomy, Saliba, Gabs, Zinchenko – Partey, Xhaka – Saka, Ode, Martinelli – Jesus

Turner – Cedric, White, Holding, Tierney – El Neny, Partey – ?, Lokonga or Vieira, ESR – Nketiah

    If the clock works……

  5. LB says:

Can I just state the glaringly obvious.
Of course Saka has already signed a new contract.
    Why hasn’t this been announced?
    Why should they.
    When will it be announced?
After we lose our first game, of course, to help us get over the inevitable disappointment.

  6. RC78 says:

Bellerin and Arsenal mutually terminate their contract and Bellerin is off to Barcelona. AFC has a large share on any future sell-on of the player by Barcelona.

Auba is joining Chelsea while Willian joins Fulham

  7. RC78 says:

Kurzawa joins Fulham from PSG on loan

Arsenal improves bid for Douglas Luiz to 25 Mln EUR…

  8. RC78 says:

    – Maitland Niles to Southampton on loan with a purchase option
    – Bellerin released and then signs for Barcelona for 1 year (we got tricked here as we re supposed to have a sell-on clause but once the contract is finished with Barcelona at the end of the season, m not sure the sell-on clause would remain valid…)

    – Villa considering our offer for Luiz now that they have Dedonker

  9. fred1266 says:

So that goal was a audition

  10. RC78 says:

Apparently, the deal for D. Luiz is highly unlikely apparently…

  11. RC78 says:

Latest bid rejected…so we know our squad until January now

    Ramsdale, Turner
    Tomy, Cedric
    White, Saliba, Holding, Gabriel
    Zinchenko, Tierney
    Partey, El Neny, Sambi, Xhaka
    Odegaard, Smith-Rowe, Vieira
    Saka, Marquinhos, Martinelli, RN
    Jesus, Nketiah

  12. fatgingergooner says:

I’m thinking White in DM with Tomiyasu back at RB for any big games in the next few weeks.

    Works for me.

Luiz would’ve been nice though but hopefully we snag him on a free down the line.

  13. Aaron says:

Man, AFC better get someone in Jan in mid or we can kiss 4th or better goodbye. Stats says Partey has played around 45% of his total games for us. With Elneny injured too, that is a bridge to far to ask Sambi to fill in.

  14. fatgingergooner says:

Seems strange to allow Azeez, Patino and AMN go out when we haven’t brought in another midfield player, but if pushed there are options within the squad with Xhaka, Sambi, White and Zinchenko all able to do a job. Hopefully we can keep people fit until January.

  15. RC78 says:

    Fingers crossed…

  16. Maxwell says:

Good deadline day. Only iffy squad member left is Nelson. Aaron you’re such a Jeremiah! Personally, I’m delighted with the group outlined above (plus Hein, I think, as the third gk). Any team can be in trouble if two or three of the first team are injured, but I would suggest our back-ups are now really strong, and we have less to fear than before. Sambi is a perfect example: he stepped into the no. 6 role and scarcely put a foot wrong against the cheating thugs.

The management did two things today for which I commend them: they refused to be held to ransom over the value of a player; they didn’t panic buy second rate goods.

On to Ol’ Toilet – and let’s see how good this Anthony is!

We’re going to swarm all over them and win by three clear goals.

  17. Aaron says:

    Maxwell,

    Well, no mate, just Aaron!

Problem with the suggestions on here is those plug in play mids are not compliments, there is a reason they were bought in the first place.

Sambi played well, but please, he put no foot forward either, it was plain to see, and this was against relegation fodder, not top 6 or even mid pack.

We are in game 6 with 2 mid injuries, not mid year or end of year run in, plus we have Europa and World Cup this year. Count the games and you tell me with a straight face that we have the squad depth as stands to deal with the grind of an EPL year. This is not La Liga, Ligue 1 or Serie A.

AFC collapsed in the run in and failed to get forth because of Edu and co’s inability to get the team one piece, either a forward or a substitute for Partey. Hell, if we had Saliba last year we most likely have scraped 4th.

Can Mikel afford to miss 4th by 1 point again after the spending the club has done this past year?

Everyone can see without Partey or Zinc in the squad there is a huge fall off in control of the game.

Am super happy to see this year the attacking intent because for the last two years the attack was pure $h*te!

  18. fred1266 says:

Sambi and xhaka rotated well I find yesterday with both taking up the defensive position, sambi seems to be weak in aerial duels though, so yeah hopefully white is allowed to play there in league and sambi in europe

  19. fred1266 says:

We don’t need to control games we just need to score so with tomy back in hopefully saka can get some more joy
