Arsenal’s second string could feature more youngsters than have been playing in the last few Europey matches. So maybe the heated seat brigade will get a chance to see Nelson and Willock once more. Maitland-Niles may get a breather after his promotion to the first team.
Welbz could do with a few goals and Jack needs protecting as Aaron’s in the sick bay.

Not so long ago the left wing became Arshavin’s grave yard as various players were shunted out there with little or no success, and now here we are with one of the best there is in Welbeck unable to get to play in his favoured position because Sanchez is rightly ahead of him.
Welbeck is impresive out there tonight, shame is I can’t see him ever starting out there in the first team while Sanchez is at the club and fit.
I was quite liking Elneny’s enthusiasum.
yeah, he does run around, always available in space, and then nothing.
Just don’t see how we need that kind of player in a game like this when Coquelin is sitting deep doing the same thing.

I expected that to be an awful lot worse, I mean it could have been as dull as when we recently played them in the league.
Enjoyable win. No one stood out but I was impressed with the ease and composure the CB’s handled a strong forward line.
