Is there a game on?

Apparently there’s a Carabao carnival of soccer ball in North London this evening.

The “happy” Hammers come to the Emirates hoping for another glorious bore draw and penalties. Either that or the shackles will be off with the fear of losing Premier League revenue removed and we could be in for an attacking goal fest.

Arsenal’s second string could feature more youngsters than have been playing in the last few Europey matches. So maybe the heated seat brigade will get a chance to see Nelson and Willock once more. Maitland-Niles may get a breather after his promotion to the first team.

Welbz could do with a few goals and Jack needs protecting as Aaron’s in the sick bay.

Is it on telly? Who knows.

Up The Arsenal

Do we need a two legged semi in January?
Might as well if it’s possible as it’s hardly likely to derail our tilt at the title. 💃

  2. LB says:

It took a little longer than I expected for the heated seat bait to be taken.
    Thanks for the read Chas.

  3. chas says:

    Are you going, LB?

  4. mickydidit89 says:

You make it almost sound tempting to watch 🙂

  5. mickydidit89 says:

    Game on BT Sport 2

  6. mickydidit89 says:

It’s all about the excitement of the build up. The anticipation 🙂

  7. chas mobile says:

No idea where you’re getting the BT Port 2 info from, Mickster? 🙈🙉🙊

Is it some crypto channel available on your digibox since one of your nerdy friends hacked it?

  8. chas mobile says:

Now there’s a good idea as to how to spend your evening rather than waste it watching the entertainment at the Emirates. 😊

  9. chas mobile says:

Apologies to all BR pre-match aficionados.

I can see I’ve failed to stir the enthusiasm of the faithful with my lack of Viking charm and brio.

  10. mickydidit89 says:

    Never big up Erik

Nothing to do with that at all, it’s simply what fool would go out in the cold to watch Giroud and his panzie girlfriends mincing about the W’Ham 18 yard box for 90 minutes?

  11. mickydidit89 says:

Oh, and don’t diss. Dillon 🙂

  12. LB says:

I have been to every round but I just can’t face tonight.

    Wish there was heated seats.

  13. LB says:

    BT sport 2

19.00 to 22.00 Ashes third test review.

Micky, where have you seen that the game is on live?

  14. mickydidit89 says:

I’m still signed up to what used to be called Liveonlinefooty and they say BT Sport 2

  15. mickydidit89 says:

    Here’s the link

Used to be £27 for 12 months. Now you can only do 2 months at a time but still brilliant

  16. mickydidit89 says:

Ok, weird. Just looked up BT 2 listings and you’re right, it says cricket, while liveonline has our game on BT2

  18. mickydidit89 says:

Team to play West Ham: Ospina, Debuchy, Chambers, Holding, Kolasinac, Coquelin, Elneny, Willock, Walcott, Giroud, Welbeck

Subs: Macey, Sheaf, DaSilva, Reine-Adelaide, Nelson, Akpom, Nketiah

  19. mickydidit89 says:

    HA HA

    Prettier again

Ok, a midfield of Coquelin, Elneny and Willock.

  20. mickydidit89 says:

Far rather see at least two from Jeff, Nelson and Eddie

Reckon I’ll give it 20 mins

  21. LB says:

First row sports has just added it.

I have been succesful with this before by opting for Link 2 whenever asked (not link 1)

  22. LB says:

I really have no interest in going to tonights game, does that make me a bad Arsenal supporter?

Is there some kind of penance I could do to make up for it.

  23. chas says:

I went to a carol concert on Sunday to have my CBA sins expunged from the record.

  24. chas says:

If you manage to sit through the full 90 on a stream, you will have endured beyond all reasonable expectations and surely absolved.

  25. mickydidit89 says:

christmas carol gigs don’t count for forgiveness shit tokens. fact

  26. chas says:

Ah, but this one was candlelit.

  27. chas says:

I think carol lyric writers should be given lessons in how to make their lines scan.

  28. Big Raddy says:

I am hugely excited by this evenings quarter finals. Anticipation raised by a fine PM

  29. chas says:

    Haha, you piss-taker.

    Cheers chas.

I’m going tonight LB, but in a Fred way. So have Viv Richards joining me on the couch. After the game we both plan to hit Bob Willis for six sixes in one over.

That midfield lacks a bit of flair? I reckon George Graham may get over excited? There will be more square passes than a horizontally compressed David Hillier.

Anyway, got to go. Got to work on my batting technique.

  31. mickydidit89 says:

Ah, but this one was candlelit ha ha 🙂 🙂

  32. mickydidit89 says:

    That was a short holiday

Hope you didn’t rush back for the game

  33. mickydidit89 says:

    I think we’ve been saved
It’s not on despite liveonline still listing it

  34. mickydidit89 says:

    It’s on. Ch9 which says BT2

  35. mickydidit89 says:

  36. GunnerN5 says:

I’ve been without internet for a few days but I’m back live just in time to listen to the game on Arsenal Player.

  37. GunnerN5 says:

I’ve been without internet for a while but I have it back just in time to listen to the game on Arsenal Player.

  38. GunnerN5 says:

It’s obviously still a tad eratic.

  39. Big Raddy says:

Still on manoeuvres. Have we scored yet?

  40. LB says:

Walcott open goal and miss, we are nerver going to get rid of him.

  41. LB says:

  42. mickydidit89 says:

Danny been really giving it a go, so good reward

  44. mickydidit89 says:

Hate to say this as I had high hopes and he has great hair, but Elneny offers nothing

Like to see Elneny and Walcott off, with Nelson and Eddie on

  45. LB says:

Not so long ago the left wing became Arshavin’s grave yard as various players were shunted out there with little or no success, and now here we are with one of the best there is in Welbeck unable to get to play in his favoured position because Sanchez is rightly ahead of him.
Welbeck is impresive out there tonight, shame is I can’t see him ever starting out there in the first team while Sanchez is at the club and fit.

  46. LB says:

I was quite liking Elneny’s enthusiasum.

  47. mickydidit89 says:

yeah, he does run around, always available in space, and then nothing.

Just don’t see how we need that kind of player in a game like this when Coquelin is sitting deep doing the same thing.

    Either/or, fine

  48. GunnerN5 says:

Thanks for the Welbeck video Chas.

  49. LB says:

    Not a bad game actually.

  50. mickydidit89 says:

Ummm, well, it’s finished. We won

we’re on the road to Wembley 🙂

  51. LB says:

I expected that to be an awful lot worse, I mean it could have been as dull as when we recently played them in the league.

  52. Big Raddy says:

Enjoyable win. No one stood out but I was impressed with the ease and composure the CB’s handled a strong forward line.
