Man United Should Be Ashamed of Themselves

Well, hands up if you were surprised that Manchester United rolled over and gave up three points to Chelsea without so much as a squeak of opposition…

No hands

I thought not.

Of course United owe us nothing and if I was a United fan (eeeugh * gag *) I wouldn’t give a toss about whether or not the non-performance of my team was grossly insulting and unfair to others. I would just sit there stuffing more chips-with-curry-sauce into my fat northern face and quaff another Boddingtons or six.

But as an Arsenal supporter I am annoyed.

Just over a week ago United came to the Emirates, played their strongest possible team and put in a fully committed performance. Fortunately we played well and a draw was probably a fair result even though we gifted them their equaliser.

After that game the Purple Conked Gorbalian who runs Surry United talked about “honouring” the likes of us and Totteringham by promising to put in a similar effort against Chelsea.

I had my doubts, but Fergus the Bogeyman reiterated the point again during the week, saying: “There are three teams chasing those two positions… and I will play my strongest team out of respect for those two other teams. I said to Arsene Wenger after the game last week – don’t worry we’ll play our strongest team, we’ll play a team to win.”

What a lying piece of Glaswegian dog turd.

The “strongest team” he sent out meant dropping his first choice goalkeeper and his best central defender, as well as England’s golden boy, the granny shagger.

Even so, you might say, a United team with a bunch of second stringers should still be able to put in a good performance: and they did have the Premier League’s deadliest goal scorer in Robin van Wotsisname.

All true, but unfortunately this particular Manchester United eleven approached the game with all the enthusiasm of a stallion off to see the gelders.

Chelsea weren’t much cop, but it was obvious to me from early on that they were going to end up winning and they duly did.

You would have to go a long way back to find a United performance with as many misplaced challenges, half-hearted tackles, aimless boots into touch and woeful attempts at finishing.

In the first half I counted four clear chances on goal for Brave Sir Robin alone, including a one-on-one with the Chelsea ‘keeper. I have no doubt that against us one or more of those chances would have ended up in the back of the net. Yesterday the Dutch Skunk fluffed them all with an air of studied non-interest.

I had been harbouring a vague notion that BSR might put himself out a bit to do us a favour. Why a favour? Well, you know, there were all those years where we paid him millions of pounds to lie on a physio table and trot out for half a dozen games a season and still get brilliant support from the fans.

But the more I thought about it the more it dawned on me that it would suit BSR for us to fail to make the Champions League. I am pretty sure that the poor, abused little boy inside Sir Robin is wracked with guilt about the way he stabbed Arsenal and Arsene in the back. Sure, the mountains of cash and the new shiny medal will make up for it a bit, but he knows what he did and he can’t be happy with himself about it.

So anything that justifies his decision to crap on us will be clutched at eagerly. And if we don’t make top four this year he can say: “See, I knew I was right to leave. They are on a downward spiral.”

So I believe that even if the entire Chelsea team had suddenly collapsed to the ground mid-game from a strange Chav-borne illness (Coleosis? Macrotising Terryitis?), leaving BSR to run towards goal unopposed, he would still have put the ball wide.

Anyway, the Chelsea win means that Top Four is still not in our own hands.

I also watched the Totts against the Saints on Saturday. They were rubbish – the world’s first ever One Primate Team. And to be fair, when Gareth Bale popped up to score exactly the same type of goal he scores in most games, there was a bit of me that thought he deserves to play in the Chimps League next year.

But the wins for both our London rivals mean that we all need to become Chelsea fans on Wednesday (eeeugh * gag *).

If the Spuds make a monkey of the Chavs and get all three points, we can still finish fifth even if we win our final two games.

The best result is a Chav win, as Bayonne Jean explained very clearly in comments last night: “Many think that a draw is more desirable, but not if you look at the maths:
Baseline: Arsenal maximum points is 73.

“Chelsea win takes them to 71 with two fixtures left. Downside: they would then only need one win to pip Arsenal, and they are highly likely to do that. Even two draws might be enough for them, as they have current +3 gd on Gunners, which may be enough even if Arsenal win remaining two. But upside is that Spurs would stay at 65, with maximum of 71. This gives Arsenal chance to finish with a win and a draw, giving Arsenal 71 as well, and hold on to fourth based on current +13 gd vs. Spurs.

“On the other hand, draw between Spurs and Chavs doesn’t buy much. Draw takes Chavs to 69, where they would only need win and a draw to tie Arsenal at 73, and they would likely maintain gd tie breaker. Spurs at 66 after the Chelsea draw means that Arsenal would still need to win both remaining fixtures to ensure staying ahead of Spurs at the end.”

It is what it is. All we can do is win our games; we can’t influence what happens elsewhere as the can’t-be-arsed match-throwing antics by Manchester United yesterday demonstrated very clearly.

All I hope is that one day, very soon, the tables are turned and United are desperate for us to do them a favour in a game that means nothing to us.

When that happens I hope that Arsene and his players remember Buster McBloodvessel’s “promise” to field his strongest team and that we pay him back in kind.

Bitter? Me?

You bet!

    Knob….I’m a “Northerner” and a Gunners fan of nearly 30 years…prick!

  3. Rasp says:

Morning Carlos, you don’t seem to have understood the tongue in cheek humour of the author. If you are a gooner, you should be agreeing with the sentiment of the post. The ‘Surrey mancs’ come in for equal derision, it’s the manure supporter bit that carries the significance.

  4. Jon says:

Spoken like a truly bitter Arsenal fan. How many chances did Chelsea create? Next to zero. One deflected shot near the death and they came away with three points – it happens in football. Goes to show how poor the once-great Gunners have become if they’re relying on others to secure a Champions League spot for them.

  5. Jarrod says:

God what an absolute cry of a story hahaha.
Never rely on other teams to do your job!
    Typical no trophy gunners!!

  6. CK says:

Yes,they don t play their best player . Call themselves champion shame on you ! thus they to losing to Chelsea 3 times in a row.

  7. RafadaGafa says:

Bleating goonies……………………..fantastic. There are millions of under 10’s in this country that are OBLIVIOUS that L’arse have ever won anything. Crack on goonies.

  9. Gabriel says:

Sir Alex fix the match, it happens in football , man united is to pay arsenal 1.5m pounces after wining the EPL they would want chelsea owner to pay double of this amount and have three points

  10. China707 says:

Deal with it or you’ll start turning into a scouser soon !

  11. I think they came to us trying to win because they had a chance of the chavs’ points record. Now they really don’t have anything to play for. They don’t owe us anything and I wouldn’t trust a lying piece of shit like that drunken wanker.

  12. Dean says:

If Rooney had started we’d have lost by more. Think yourself lucky!

  13. Manthan says:

    Great post Rocky,

Post defines the emotions of all gooners after chesky won yesterday. . Fergie will do no favor to us. BSR forgot the reception he got from crowd and Wenger when he was injured. But luck favors the brave. I am sure we will make it into Top 4. If not its not a disaster.. Hope spurs play the same way they did against Soton. . .

  14. jamesgoonmorris says:

Ooh I really don’t like this sort of knee-jerk reaction sort of article.
At least I really hope its a knee-jerk reaction, not a considered piece, because as a reaction it crosses the line of logic and common-sense but as a considered opinion it embarrasses Arsenal fans.
Yes, Siralex picked a weaker team: the job is done, experience given to younger and fringe players. He chose his team for ManUre, not for any other reason, and I hope if the situation were reversed, Arsene would do the same. ManUre should be, and is, thinking of next season already. Respect to other clubs is not a consideration, and if Arsene passed up a chance to give younger fringe players a run out I would be livid – not that he would.
Your article is wide of the mark my friend, and is probably more an indication of the growing divide I see amongst us: the hunt for trophies versus the desire to play good football.
(We Arsenal fans are becoming polarised I fear, and we should not allow this to happen. But that’s another issue.)
Our position is in our own hands: if we fail to win the title or qualify for CL that comes down to OUR fault – the players on our pitch, not the attitude of players 200 miles away.

  15. 20 x says:

His name is robin van persie, ex arsenal captain who wanted to win a title…same as fabregas, same story with him too.

What a sad and sorry person you are…getting all upset because united didn’t do you a favor because your team can’t take care of its own business…how sad it must be to be you right now.

20 times must really hurt…especially when you used to challenge for the title but now prefer to sell your best to us on the cheap….what a tactical genius Wenger is.

Good luck in the nobody cares cup next season….it has to hurt knowing you are a decade away from the top 3 again .

Not one of your players would make United’s starting 11 or bench….so keep up the hate and if you have any players that are worth a pinch of sh*t we know you will happily offload them….just ask rvp, fabregas, henry, overmars, petit, vieira….that’s quite a list already isn’t it?!?!!

One kiss for every title just for you

  16. Dragon says:

To all u arsehole fans- you had a whole season to secure ur champs league spot u divs. As that was pretty much the only thing u could hope for u should’ve worked a little bit harder. Don’t be bitter at us. Champions 20. That is all

  18. Rasp says:

Hi jamesgm, thanks and welcome. You express the logical interpretation of our situation perfectly ….. but as we know, supporting a football team is an emotional experience. The head would agree with you, the heart says they’re a bunch of scumbags.

  19. sammy says:

fargi u r lucky 4 the first game at the bridge u were also helped by 2 redcards, torres and ivanovic.we could also hav beaten united, also helped by the same referee with fake penalties, why hav u 4gotten that.u think people 4get like u,now rafael redcard was at 89th min and already beaten it didnt affect your game so kip quite about Luiz whether he faked or not nobody is caring provided 3pnts were awarded to chelsea.wait until next season and try to revange.

  20. buddha9 says:

wouldn’t matter whether arsenal got in the champs league anyway — all it will do is put more money in the directors pockets while the hypnotist arsene soothes you with nonsense like he has for years and you keep on paying the highest ticket prices in the country and you go out in the last 16 -same as always.

  21. Paul says:

    Mega Lols at you

  22. tom says:

I can understand the bitterness, but it was a poor game and it took a deflected goal to beat Man Utd. Chelsea beat Man Utd in the FA Cup recently, and have a great record against them, so I can’t say playing a stronger team would have helped.

It leaves Arsenal no room for error, but if they win the last 2 games then you will have CL next season. On the plus side, if Chelsea now beat Spurs, it will nearly be finished and your Nort London rivals won’t qualify. In a way Arsenal will be angry, but its Spurs that have really lost out here. Man Utd played a weaker team, and the cynic in me things it was a ploy, a strategy perhaps to stop Spurs qualifying, so they can launch a summer bid for Gareth Bale.

  23. The table today
    CHELSEA … played 35 … points 68
    ARSENAL … played 36 … points 67

    Remaining fixtures

  24. Sorry …small error
    Moves Spurs above Arsenal

My POINTS tally, however, is correct.

  25. James says:

It’s brilliant to think that Arsenal fans actually believed Fergie would do them a favor – What planet are you living on?!?!

  26. Bonf says:

At the start of the season every team submits a list of 25 players to form a squad for the competition. The decision of which 11 of those 25 start each week is up to the manager, cant see why people have a problem with that.

  27. Belfastgooner says:

Thanks for the great article Rocky. I concur with your sentiments entirely. i’m incensed about Utd’s performance yesterday. Manure don’t owe us anything but why did Sir Alex bleat on about honouring the other teams in the top 4 fight if he was planning on playing a weakened team who gave their most abject performance ever. Roll on next year. I believe we have been guilty of showing MU too much respect in recent years. Not any more.

  28. Danny says:

Actually you’d think that Old Red Nose would’ve preferred us and the Scum in the Champions League instead of Chelsea especially if Mourinho returns.

  29. Belfastgooner says:

That was the other thing that pissed me off. The press focusing on SAF blabbing on about the sending off. Not one of the interviews I watched asked why he had made such a shite team selection and if he felt he should be fined by the FA for his actions.

  30. k-t says:

SO so sad but again makes me happy ………………………..loooosers…..up chelsea………miserable excuse for a football team..ducks

  31. Big Raddy says:

Not surprised to read the Mancs bleating in response to what is an undoubtedly correct post.

Mancs. Name me a game this season when you played worse??? Was Welbeck even playing? Cleverly is meant to be a decent player, so too is Anderson.

MU showed no fight, no guts, nothing. So why shouldn’t any of the millions of fans who watched an awful game be pissed off?

Yes, MU are better than us right now, but what has that got to do with the post?

Shame on SAF and shame upon his team

  32. barumgooner says:

Very nicely written piece but the sorry truth is that we only have ourselves to blame for another piss-poor season and yet again we are fighting for the glorious accolade of fourth place. It would have been nice for Manutd to have tried a little harder but why would you when you have wrapped up the title with games to spare. Dont get me wrong, I want us to qualify for cl football again and hopefully when we do we wont be lied to this summer and actually try to buy the one or two quality players needed to win things instead of just being the third-best loser again.

  33. Arsenal67 says:

Barumgooner what are you on about. Who lied to you?? Who were we guaranteed to sign and didn’t? We made our intentions clear by signing 2 quality players early with the intention of persuading BSR to stay. He is the only one who can be accused of lying, stating he believed in the Arsenal model then let us down.
We don’t have a crystal ball but if he’d stayed the table would look completely different. Get behind the team and stop sniping

  34. niko says:

    My thoughts exactly!!!

  35. Your dad says:

You stupid ignorant arse & anal fan! United played well below par vs your arse boys! Walcott was off side! The penalty was clear! Our job is done! We don’t give a shit about the chelski match! Stop waffling on about how united play an what our result was! When arsenal only have themselves to blame for we’re they are in the table!! Stop blaming others for your 8 years of nothing!

  36. kunle owolarafe says:

sory o arson fan, u are not ashamed of urself, counting on others to do u afavour? am ashamed of u, & instead of u to be begging chsea to do u a favour u started yabbing them.
pls check ur record, this is de 3rd time that chelsea will beat ManUre this year, a draw @ old trfford & a loss made by de incompetence refree due to anoffside goal & 2 unwanranted re cards. yet u believe beaten Man Ure is fluke.
pls tell ur board to buy good players & not all this todlers.
just to remind u, Chelsea has beaten u twice this year. dont worry sha they will do u a favour in other to keep AVB mouth shut, but are u sure u ll win ur 2 last game not 4getting what Wiggan did to u last season

  37. Man Utd says:

Our fans and manager are hypocrites who whined about QPR last season and teams not trying against their title rivals (which led to the outbursts of Rafa and Keegan)

  38. barumgooner says:

Arsenal67. For several seasons now we have been told in the summer that the club has money to spend and it is not spent. Ok this last season we bought in 3 very good players in Santi, Pod and Giroud and I agree that AW has been let-down by some of his most prized players. I said nothing of guaranteed signings and i’m not sniping at anyone. Is it the fault of Manutd, Chelsea, Mancity or even Spurs that we are struggling to keep up or it it the fault of The Arsenal football club ? And do you really think we got two strikers in early to compliment OR replace RVP ?

  39. Essigreb says:

Being a United fan, I totally agree. Jones is useless at every position besides being a central defender. Last season Ferguson picked Park for the first time in 3 months vs City. This year the same with Nani in the CL. Being the best motivator of all managers doesnt help much if you cant pick a reasonable team. The shrewd thing is maybe that they dont want Tottenham to qualify for the CL, maybe making it easier to get Bale. I get angry when I see shit like this and I hope it wont happen again

  40. Silenstan says:

You clown. They played as bad against us but we were not good enough to beat them

  41. Daniel Levy says:

If you think I’m going to sell Bale to Manure after this you don’t know me very well

  42. Ed says:

I’m a United fan of 35 years and agree that it was a shocking performance. Personally, I’d love Chelsea not to qualify for the CL.

However, United were all set to serve up a similar pile-of-shit performance at the Emirates until you gooners started getting on beautiful Robin’s back and barracking him. YOU ignited our players early – contrast with CFC who waited until the very end with Luiz’s histrionics.

Ultimately, expect no favours and take care of your own business.

I remember when Arsenal had a great side we truly feared. Now you guys are fighting for 4th and getting irate that we don’t beat your opponents for the last spot. Long way to have fallen.

I still think it will be Spurs that miss out though.

  43. ” for those two other teams”
for 2 teams? he’s meant arsenal and sp*rs surely. he will give 3 point for chelsea with pleasant to bring it out from competition of 3rd and 4th position

  44. Blimey, lost of very angry football supporters out there …… be they Gooners, Manks, Chavs or Spuds.

A lack of competetiveness by any team is hard to swallow, we have to go into our final games with a winning mentality. I’d much rather be a Gooner at the moment. My team scored in the first minute on Saturday, Theo took his chance and put us one up whereas the chavs and spuds laboured for 85 minutes before they got a chance. We are the stronger team.

I expect Wednesday night to be a bloodbath, there is no love lost between spuds and chavs. The chavs will want to cement their third place and they have a habit of sweeping teams aside at the end of the season to get their way.

  45. Adebayo says:

Am a true gunners, my view on this issue is man u did nt have any fort due to sunday match all fort goes to wenger and arsenal board. I believe if arsenal hv plan well b4 the season, buying experience and quality play we will be able to compite wit other team all he does is to sell out our best player and replace wit inexperience one when these are going 2 b stop. All gunners fans this a better true take it or leave it, wenger and board must change their way of thinking to move arsenal forward. BUY US QUALITY PLAYER

  46. Gooner In Exile says:

Some people appear to have forgotten Blackpool and Holloway being given a suspended sentence for not fielding his strongest team (one that actually won or maybe drew). There is a PL rule about fielding the strongest side.

As I have said several times recently we would have been better of losing at home last week as United would still be chasing the points record and no way does De Gea, Ferdinand and co sit on the bench yesterday.

That said we should be better off than we are now. What I find laughable is the media reaction to Luiz smiling and Fergies displeasure, a man who in my memory has never condemned his players for diving. The media seem to have forgotten Shearer smiling at Keane after he had wound him up to a red card.

We want characters, a player shows he has one and it’s an outrage! And as I said the other week I’ve done it, more than once, you play the margins in football and if you can wind someone up enough to react you’re halfway to winning the game.

  47. Norfolk Gooner says:

  48. Sav from Australia says:

Nice one, Rocky! I agree 100% that Man Utd wanted to lose yesterday.

But I thought to myself, so what if we end up in the Europa league? On the bright side, its still a competition we could win, easier to win than the champions league surely – and it might get the team into the habit of winning. And sure, money is lost by finishing outside the top-4, but maybe that will be the signal to release even greater funds to help build the team faster.

Whatever happens, I think with the right addition or two, and maybe a young player stepping up, the league title challenge is on for next season.

  49. Norfolk Gooner says:

Where is everybody this morning? it’s nearly twelve o’clock and mine is the only comment. Even Big Al hasn’t woken up yet.

It’s a good post by Rocky, I would have thought it would produce a few comments at least, maybe even a few of Old Red Nose’s supporters might crawl out of the woodwork but nothing! Zilch! Nada!

If you lot who think this post is “just not cricket”, you should pop in on a Saturday/Sunday match day for a ‘Big Raddy’ post.
RockyLives is a pussy cat compared to that ruff boy.

  51. Janman says:

RL: Nice post and I fully understand where you are coming from but at the end of the day it is pointless. If at the end of the season we do not have enough points to finish in the top four then we have no one to blame other than ourselves as it means we were simply not good enough. I am not a person who feels the need to rely on others for success, you’re either good enough or you’re not, that’s all there is to it!

  52. Janman says:

GIE: Don’t think you can compare the Blackpool siyuation to Sunday’s Mancs team. Yes, they had a couple of so called first teamers left out but does anyone honestly believe that they fielded a “weakened” team? That team was stronger than most other PL starting 11. Did they play as though they did not give a shite, YES! Weakened, NO! (My opinion)

  65. Red Arse says:

Rocker, that was beautifully written, cleverly phrased, amusingly waspish Post, just guaranteed to both get up the noses of the long armed, thick browed, neanderthal Mancs from Surrey, as well as the militant Arsenal fans from a.n. other site.

    Perfect! 😀

  66. 23B says:

Agreed ! Itˊs strange that seldom talked about this ugly deliberate performance from MU. Sometimes was obvious especially from Jones. It violated sportsmanship.

  67. Merseforever says:

Yeh Whiskey is a nose is a ****. It’s not news. He blooded in players and gave them big game experience.

But the Arsenal shouldn’t really be in this position anyway. Our wage bill is £50m higher than Spurs. Wenger has got to buck up and be ambitious this summer. I want him to go for quality players instead of hedging himself and buying two players that are between £12-£15m. He’s been given too far a leash for too long. Just think with the money he spent on Giroud, Gervinho and Santos we could have bought one truly world class player!

  68. While I’m here, we’re going to need posts for the coming days, we’re not playing until Tuesday week so a lot of days to fill. There you go… Norfolk Gooner!

  72. Man Utd’s “weakened” team. The numerals signify the amount of (starting) appearances this season.

I’ll have you know Big Al, I have no difficulty getting up in the mornings, it’s just that my mornings start later than other people’s.

When I retired made a promise to myself that I would never get up earlier than 7am, unless for some vital reason like going on holiday, unfortunately more and more recent mornings have started earlier than I would have liked due to bladder malfunction. 😦

  74. jnyc says:

Good work Rocky. But i think the difference between us and our rivals for top four, is that they have gotten some results against good teams. We choked on almost every opportunity to take points off top teams or rivals.

  75. Bayonne Jean says:

Bottom line is that Manure owe nobody any favors, and could do whatever they please with their lineup once they clinched. My quibble is with the Purple Proboscis pronouncing that he’d play a strong lineup vs. Chavs, and then actually playing Johnny Evans.

Back to my points synopsis from yesterday:

    1) Here’s a scary one: Silent Stan and his accountants might be rooting for a Chavs victory, as fourth place rather than third means an extra home match in a qualifier, so more millions in gate receipts.

    2) Chelsea should be motivated to beat LWCs, as that 99.999% guarantees a CL spot, with six point lead on Spuds, 2 EPL games left and at least +17 gd, so they can focus fully on Europe final.

    3) Other than seeing Gunners finishing ahead of LWCs, our most desirable result, at the other end of the table, would see Stoke go down. And if results break right and they lose the rest of their matches, they’d be the only side stuck on 40, and see you later.
Unfortunately, that would mean them losing to Spuds, and can’t tolerate that. Advice to Tony Pubis: take your Neanderthal captain aside and tell him that Bale is Welsh and that you (Shawcross) are “not that kind of player” (nudge nudge wink wink) In any event, need Sunderland win against Orcs today to keep Stoke interested vs. Spuds.

  76. napoleon says:

Why bleat, Wenger is doing a fantastic job under the circumstances.

It’s a given we won’t be winning any Trophies in the foresseeable future, until then it’s as you are.

  77. lance says:

Wenger is no Klopp he needs financial muscle to play out his naive style of football.

  78. Big Raddy says:

RL Thank you for today post – it has providing some hilarious entertainment!

  79. RockyLives says:

Thankyou for entering into the spirit with your comment earlier.
You really are a top man!

  80. We need seven posts to take us through to our next game, starting with one for tomorrow. Just a few lines will do, a couple of comments to start the days blogging off ………..

  81. Gooner In Exile says:

Bayonne here’s a scarier thought than the one outlined in 1) above.

How about not qualifying for CL would allow the club to re fasten the purse strings? And any commitment to spend can be waved bye bye to.

  82. Big Raddy says:

Not looking good for Sunderland. 10 men and a goal down.

Hard to believe how poor they are and yet they beat Newcastle.

    Funny old game.

    RL. You too!

  83. chas says:

    Great stuff, Rocky.
I know they blew the points record against us but ffs.
They are definitely nothing to be feared for next season regardless of them getting the most points this.

At least on Wednesday both teams will want to get something out of the game.

  84. One in drafts Peaches, i’m not all that happy with it, but if you need it use it.

  85. Oh dear Szczesny, some times its better to keep quiet:

“If we win our next two games it will be enough as either Chelsea or Spurs will drop points as they play each other, Tottenham do not have enough quality.”

“I was convinced that Tottenham had drawn 0-0 against Southampton. I only found out after the game that they had won 1-0, but I don’t think it matters really.”

“I would settle for another two 1-0 wins for the rest of the season and a place in the top three, even if we have games like the QPR one, it might have been boring at times, but we couldn’t care less at this time.”

  86. weedonald says:

Rocky……we cannot depend on other teams to help us, in the least Manure. We need to rely on our innate desire to win and superior ability to earn that CL place and not presume United ¨owes¨us anything. I am sure that if we were in their shoes, Wenger would have ignored any request to field a weakened team…it is unethical and unfair to our competitors trying to get where we want to be. If we can’t make the top 4 on our meritsd alone, then we have no business being in the top 4 and the CL next season.
I sympathize with your sentiments but not your underlying expectations.

  87. RockyLives says:

    Fair point Donald.

I was more peed off at Ferguson’s hypocrisy than anything else.

As you say, if we fail to make top four we can’t blame anyone else.

  88. weedonald says:

Remember this Rocky…..hypocrisy is the tribute vice pays to virtue. (Francois de la Rochefaoucauld)

  89. mickydidit89 says:

    Morning all.

Thanks GiE and Rocky for posts.

I missed both our game and the Utd. Thank goodness by the sound of things.

I do like a conspiracy theory, and heard on the radio some from both Gunners and Spuds. Gunners that Utd would rather Chelsea qualified more than Arsenal (eh?!!), and Spuds because Utd want them 5th so that they can bag Bale (that is a nasty thought).

Moi, I think AF wants to win every game, and that from what I hear, they were shittier in the first half at The Grove than at any point against Chavs. We had our chance and were not good enough.

  90. mickydidit89 says:

A good night, or a bad night?

  91. mickydidit89 says:

Just sent in a conversation starter.

No longer need to hide everyone 🙂

  92. Morning all

Thanks GiE and Micky, I don’t have to endure the wrath of Rasp now 😉

  93. Gooner In Exile says:

Never fear Micky, Bale is coming to us in the summer.

  94. mickydidit89 says:

If that Rasputin Bloke dares to “wrath you”, let us know and we’ll send The Boys round.

I still think of you every night (I know) when I push the button on Oscar’s chanting Gooner.

  95. mickydidit89 says:

    @ your 7:14. No he isn’t. Do behave 🙂

  96. Red Arse says:

    Good Morning guys, 🙂

We should list down the various reasons given for this or that, and I bet they could be condensed down to half a dozen different themes which multiply exponentially just because they areexpressed in different ways.

Conspiracy being one of the main components. 🙂

  97. mickydidit89 says:

Blimey RA, you even wake up all complicated 🙂

  98. Red Arse says:

I promised to write a Post on FFP (Part Deux) and it went out on Total Arsenal’s Bergkampesque yesterday, if you are interested.

Bit heavy going, I suspect! 🙂

  99. chas says:

    Like six degrees of separation?

  100. mickydidit89 says:

  101. chas says:

It was a good night, Micky.
My sleep patterns were disrupted with all the house move business and still haven’t settled down yet. Though they’re getting there.

  102. chas says:

    Mad ass stuff. 🙂

  103. mickydidit89 says:

Post move, are you now fully connected?

  104. chas says:

I think my whole life could be condensed down to less than half a dozen different themes.
    1. Arsenal

  105. chas says:

Got the unlimited broadband boys coming today. 🙂
Still playing with my dongle at this moment.

  106. Red Arse says:

    Chas, 🙂

In the final analysis everything comes down to your dongle and the commensurate connections. 🙂

  107. Red Arse says:

it is my experience that the smartest people are almost exclusively the funniest — and you are certainly funny! 🙂

  108. mickydidit89 says:
