    Thanks Chas

That’s great as we can put some context to the day’s events

Iceland beat Nigeria, and it leaves Argentina having to win and do the gd thing. Those three goals may be too costly

  2. chas's avatar chas says:

If I’d have had time I would have put the table information closer to the team names. Soz.

  3. Eddie's avatar Eddie says:

why are you so desperate for Argies to lose?? Messi is such a nice guy, best footballer on this planet. I don’t want him to go home yet

  4. mickydidit89's avatar mickydidit89 says:

    Eddie
I don’t want them to get knocked out, and I agree about Messi.

I’d like them to go through with Croatia. Had the Nigerian idiotic manager given Iwobi the central role, then they’d have won the group easily and that would have been very nice

  5. RC78's avatar RC78 says:

I am rooting for Iceland, Serbia and Brazil

  6. Eddie's avatar Eddie says:

Never mind the Nigerian manager , the Worst Manager of the WC 2018 has to go to Sampaoli. If he cannot win the world cup with Messi, Aguero, Mascherano, Dybala, Higuain, Pavon then he should never, ever manage another team again, simples

  7. RC78's avatar RC78 says:

I think France also has a poor manager
For Argentina – let us see if they make it to the 2nd round because they could click then BUT I agree with all that talent, he should score goals at least.

Romero – Otamendi, Mascherano, Rojo – Salvio, Banega, Biglia, Perez – Dybala, Aguero, Messi

That should be the line up.

  8. VP of Oz's avatar VP of Oz says:

Sapaoli reminded me of a Teletubbie.
Messi, captain of his country and quit after losing their finals appearance. Then comes back and chokes, again! He is an excellent player but more successful as club player not a international. Whereas CR7, no matter who he plays for, he will shine.
I thought Modric was absolutely superb.

I think Croatia will rest their best players and Iceland will thus beat them ensuring Argentinas exit.

Eddie, yes I’ve been to Croatia but only limited in time and places and a very very long time ago. Mortgages, Kids and school fees have prevented a return. I’ve always been Australian first but the issue of not being a republic really riles me up. Croatia is a big part of me, I can speak it, both my parents and my wifes parents are Cro and my son plays for a great Croatian club (Viduka’s old club). But its Australia first and I’ve supported Australia over Croatia in previous World Cup clash without hesitation.

    and then there is Arsenal…

  9. Eddie's avatar Eddie says:

it is Arsenal, poland, england in this order.

I have been to Croatia too, wonderful, wonderful country. And bread!! the best bread in the world. My holidays there were ruined by a drunk, but otherwise it must be my fourth favourite place in the world.

  10. Eddie's avatar Eddie says:

I don’t know the argie manager, never heard of him before yesterday, but I know more players in the Argentinian shirts than those wearing polish or english kits. Everyone knows half the Argentinian team.

  11. Eddie's avatar Eddie says:

Oh, I don’t think anyone will hear Argie manager’s name after this world cup again.

  12. fred1266's avatar fred1266 says:

    Time for Iwobi to shine

  13. Eddie's avatar Eddie says:

    silly fred

  14. mickydidit89's avatar mickydidit89 says:

You have to be joking Mr Idiot Manager of Nigeria. Moron.

They’d have been 2 up by now had Iwobi started 🙄

  15. mickydidit89's avatar mickydidit89 says:

The prat’s name is Gernot Rohr. Sounds like a twat, probably is.

  20. chas's avatar chas says:

    Good goal for the Argies?

  21. mickydidit89's avatar mickydidit89 says:

True, but if Nigeria beat Croatia, they’re through (assuming they win this). Big if, I know, but they’re probably saving Iwobi for just such an eventuality 🙂

  22. chas's avatar chas says:

Nigeria have already lost to Croatia!

  23. mickydidit89's avatar mickydidit89 says:

oh, well they best beat someone else then 🙂

  24. chas's avatar chas says:

    Haha.
Wall chart must be coming on a storm.

  25. Eddie's avatar Eddie says:

2 nil up if Iwobi was playing 🙂 that’s the end of my depression ROLFing

  26. Erik the Red's avatar Big Raddy says:

Croatia were excellent but I can’t see them beating Spain.

No Iwobi? Nigeria anager is complete and utter imbecile. They would be 5 up by now had he played.

  27. chas's avatar chas says:

    Game over

  28. mickydidit89's avatar mickydidit89 says:

just showed me wife moi as mrs iwobi. she loves it

  35. Erik the Red's avatar Big Raddy says:

My only problem with this result is that I have spent considerable time in both countries and Iceland is 1000 x 1000 times a better country than Nigeria, both int terms of geography and population.

Still, Nigeria have Iwobi .. the African Messi

  36. mickydidit89's avatar mickydidit89 says:

that’s a massive difference right there, Erik 🙂

  37. mickydidit89's avatar mickydidit89 says:

    also, and speaking as

  38. mickydidit89's avatar mickydidit89 says:

also, and speaking as Iwobi’s Mum, I can assure you Alex is a lovely boy 🙂

great result. best group in the competition

    must go. much fun

    Cheers chas

Seem to be missing most games due to work. I suppose this is the price you pay when you have a lust for money? I console myself in the knowledge that during my funeral the congregation will know that this was the kind of man who missed Croatia’s splendid treble for the sake of a £475 fee.

So far, I’m also very disappointed in Greece’s performance? Its almost as though they haven’t turned up

Do you know that if you google Newsnow Gr…… Greece appears 2nd? First place is Grimsby.

A quick one on Wilshere. Ive always defended him but secretly i regarded him as uncouth and suspect that whilst dining he may not know which way to pass the Port? He strikes me as a guy easily conned? The man is basically an Antique dealers delight.

    But i wish him well.

  40. Eddie's avatar Eddie says:

    bejesus the african messi

  41. chas's avatar chas says:

    The African Messi. 😍

  42. Eddie's avatar Eddie says:

RC – Lichsteiner playing for Switzerland is the new signing people are saying is worse than Jack

  43. Erik the Red's avatar Big Raddy says:

The man is a Full Back Eddie, hardly a comparison with Jack and has won the Italian league for each of the last 7 seasons.

  44. Eddie's avatar Eddie says:

aha, not sure than why gunners were so rattled . thanks Raddy

    come on Granit!!

  45. Erik the Red's avatar Big Raddy says:

Why aren’t Djourou and Senderos playing for Switzerland?

  46. Eddie's avatar Eddie says:
