So for the second consecutive weekend we have no game and many like myself will be having withdrawal symptoms.
There were some interesting answers in yesterdays post so I will carry on with the theme .
After five straight wins on the bounce we are all finally bouyant about our team and if the momentum can be kept for the final ten games, third is a distinct possibility.
I ask myself will our manager keep wherever possible to the same starting eleven and has he already earmarked those who will no longer feature at the club come the Summer.
My heart tells me that Robin is committed to Arsenal and in his case, he is for the first time in a few years, the right man to be captain and has the respect from all of the players.
So here are a few posers:
- Will Park actually start a game this season?
- Will Chamakh ever play again and if so. score this season and how many?
- How many penalties will we get and concede?
- Will Theo keep up his new found form and be given a new contract?
- Will Arshavin remain at the Club? My gut feeling is no, though I may be wrong. What do you think?
- Almunia is out of contract and IMO Fabianski will want regular playing time so will he stay. Mannone appears to be not of the standard required, so perhaps another keeper will be brought in. What do you think?
- We have an array of young talent waiting in the wings who have been given the odd game or so and I am sure players like Miquel, Le Coq, Yennaris and Frimpong will become first teamers given time.
- Who do you think will be sold at the end of the season?Vela, Bendtner, Squillacci, to name just three.
Anyway let’s hear your opinions and if paper talk is correct Podolski seems to be on his way.
- Apart from Arshavin, who will be Alan Sugared 😉

Arsenal News 24/7

Kelsey, 🙂
My first thought was that those guys in the photo must be the Aussie Rules team wearing those colors. Then I thought the classy dude with the shades is the Ozzie fast bowler, Geoff Thompson.
But it seems it is the well known AA lothario Kelsey with some of his harem!! 🙂
Anyway, congratulations, Geoff!! 🙂
haha RA i was thinking the same thing (5am for motor sport, you are nuts!)
congrats kelsey, will be back later to fill out this great post.
enjoy your day all
Good questions, Kelsey.
I am not sure about Podolski joining Arsenal. The whole story about him is so non Arsenal. Usually Arsene keeps details of his transfers locked away as tight as a duck’s whatsit!
His agent is now quoted as saying there has been no transfer agreed, there has been no medical and he is keeping his options open. (He was talking about the Pod, I hope 🙂 )
That is either AW insisting on a damage limitation exercise or he has other fish he is thinking of frying. Who knows?
AA, Almunia, Chamakh are done at Arsenal, along with the other three you mention.
Theo will stay, and we must hope he will become more consistent and show his great ability more frequently. Why not?

Oz, it was up at 5am to watch motor sport PRACTICE. The man’s a nutter…. 😉
Interesting questions Kelsey. On the keeper side, Almunia’s definitely off, as you say. I thought Fabianski’s contract also expires this summer. Whether that’s right or not, I’m sure he’ll leave. He’s clearly lost the battle with Szczesny and I’m sure Fabianski won’t want to be the new Stuart Taylor, he’ll want to go somewhere he’ll get a first team place. I quite like what I’ve seen of Mannone. He’s made some mistakes but he’s also done well for us and for Hull. He’d be a good backup keeper. And then after them is Damian Martinez, who’s good enough to have been called up to the Argentina senior squad for a coupe of friendlies. All in all, assuming Mannone stays, I don’t think we need to sign another GK.
I think I agree that Arshavin will leave. He certainly should, his decline over the last 15-18 months has been dramatic, and he doesn’t have athleticism to fall back on. Perhaps he could do a Rosicky but I doubt it. Better for player and club if he moves on.
Vela, Bendtner and Denilson are on record as saying they want to leave, and that would be the right thing for them. Chamakh likewise. I don’t know what to think of Park, perhaps he’ll suddenly flourish. But the absolute priority is to make sure we have an enhanced attacking capacity next season. With that we can have a really good go at the teams above us; without it we’ll be vulnerable. It’s not easy to pick the talents that will blend with those we have, and will also be happy to be rotated. If we do get Podolski, that’d be great, but with some of the names mentioned here likely to move on, we also need to sign one more player (Goetze, Robben, Hazard etc). I just hope it’s not the 37 year old Alessandro del Piero, good a player as he once was.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens to the youngsters. There are so many who can join Wilshere, Szczesny, Gibbs and Oxlade-Chamberlain as break-through players. Campbell, Miyaichi, Miquel, Bartley, Frimpong, Yennaris, Coquelin, Afobe, Ozyakup, Henderson, Martinez, Wellington, Ebecilio etc. Not all of them will make it with us, let’s just hope the right ones do.
Come on Bolton!!!
As I said yesterday a punt on Torres at a cut price 20 million would be great. His style suits us, where as Podolski though he can play anywhere in attack is yet another left footer.
I had high hopes for Chamakh top header in Europe before he joined us,but he has lost his way. I remember his early header against Wolves from a Song cross, and that was the Chamakh i expected to blossom. (off for a haircut now)
Cheeky so and so, Lionel Hutz (graduate of Princeton Law School) aka 26, it was qualifying – not practice.
I was up at 2 a.m. on Friday for Practice1 followed later by Practice 2 — now that’s nuts!!! 🙂
Pretty much agree with all you said, altho’ I have my doubts about Wellington (temperament). I would like to see more of Park otherwise I would be condemning him to leave without really knowing what his qualities are. Odd case that!
Hi Kelsey – good questions! 🙂
Only if and when RvP gets injured or suspended will Park or Chamakh start a game during the remainder of the season. Both will get play time, especially towards the end of the season, if and when players can be/need to be rested. I feel sorry for both of them as with RvP’s form this season, they never had a proper chance to play themselves into the team.
As I have said on a few occasions already, Theo will have good and average games – it’s how it goes with wingers. But he is a great player to have, a real weapon that when it works can be so effective for Arsenal. And RvP loves him and that goes a long way (sorry Gus).
Arshavin and Almunia will go and I agree with, the now fully back to his usual phenomenal form, 26, re Manone. I like him, and I also thought Shea was good during the Norwich Reserves game. Would not mind it if we brought in an older GK as our nr2 though.
Agreed on the young players, and I reckon Ozyakop will do ‘a Bolton’ next season. Ryo will return for next season, unless we splash out on a big name like Robben to put some top-experience in the team in our attack.
I am sure the club will sell and let go a number of players again, as per last summer. Who that will be, I don’t care much about. I trust Wenger to make the right calls, as this is his real strength (which does not mean he never gets it wrong by the way).
Kelsey,
I think Chamakh needs to go, altho I have a certain sympathy for him because he never received the service from the wings to play to his strengths in the air.
Spilt milk, oh Hairy One!! 🙂
RO=BIN ,SICKY& A.O.Chamberlaine combination best fits Arsenal foward. keep strength in defensive role and a good back up for our first team g keeper W.Sczcny. Better hope for next season. W ho can best fit Arsene’s position?
Arshavin has been a great player in his career but he has lost his pace because he is carrying too much weight and he is not hungry enough on the pitch.
Look how hungry TR7 is? That’s what you need to show in this team, read what AW said about pressing yesterday.
Chamakh will play a bit part to the end of the season an then be flogged.
Squillaci and Almunia will never play again unless we get a massive injury crisis but are reportedly on 30k- 50k. Who’s going to be mug enough to pay that?
As for the Park-ster, there is no way Arsenal will flog or loan him before the far east tour in the summer.
Remember Denilson and Bendtner too, we need to find mugs for them too.
I think these players have looked dead for a while but with the first team now playing with such gusto and pride can you honestly see any of them figuring?
Park aside, because we have no idea about him, the others are not exactly know for graft, concerntration and fight are they?
I’d like the following players to piss off from the first team:
Almunia, Squillaci, Djourou (Although he just signed a new contract \), Denilson, Bendtner, Vela, Chamakh and Park
Our squad has a lot of prospect and Wenger seems to be trying to get the correct blend of youth and experience correct.
My idea of an ideal first team is one that has a game changer in every position on the bench e.g. a midfielder/attacker who’s likely to score/assist or a defender who can definitely tighten up the defence and stop the team conceding once we’ve gone ahead.
Szczesny, Fabianski
Sagna, Santos, Jenkinson, Gibbs
Koscielny, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Vertonghen, Bartley
Song, Coquelin, Frimpong, Diaby, Wilshere, Arteta, Ramsey, Arshavin, Rosicky
Robben, Chamberlain, Walcott, Miyaichi, Gervinho
RvP, Huntelaar, Afobe (Robben or Walcott could play here if necessary)
Vertonghen, Robben and Huntelaar are the only 3 players I want bought to the club next season. The money we raise from sales and what we already have could easily buy those 3 players.
Podolski is over rated in my opinion, with the squad above I reckon we could win 1 if not 2 trophies in the 2012-2013 season.
Kelsey
Congratulations on…
A thought provoking Post
A rock star barnet
A fine trophy
Interesting Kelsey, AA23 has expressed his intent to return to AFC altho maybe that is to increase wage offers to “tempt” him away.
I wouldn’t mind either way he has the quality but he also has the fans on his back. There is additionally an unavoidable question about the increase in performances on pitch since his absence from the squad, I have never thought of him as miserable tho.
I think in the summer we will see a number of youngsters leave (especially those with relatively young players in their positions already).
Arsenalista
Nice name Jamie!
Before I answer the posers set by our bowltastic, hairtastic author, I just wanted to comment on your and Gn5’s responses to TA’s questions yesterday.
I really liked the way you both brought a more realistic/skeptical (though not negative) perspective to the question of how we’ll do on the run in.
Based on our form (and the Spuds’ form) across the season it is hard to argue with your predictions.
But I thought the one thing you were not giving much weight to was momentum, which can be a big factor in football. When we got our momentum going earlier in the season we went on a run of eight games that produced 22 points. Then we lost all four Full Backs at once and the wheels fell off.
Now I feel we have great momentum again (and it’s no coincidence that this has happened since our proper FBs returned). Plus we seem to have added an extra layer of self belief, as evidenced by all the late wins.
Spuds, meanwhile have got the opposite of momentum. They are slowing down, are filled with doubts and their supporters are turning on the manager, the players and each other.
So, if we can avoid major injuries, I do see us finishing above the enemy.
JB
Robben is a great player, but I have a feeling (based on not much actual knowledge) that there might be a ‘thing’ between him and RvP.
In the last World Cup it seemed to me that Robben avoided passing to our Robin, even on fast breaks where RvP was the only Dutchman forward and was in a perfect position to receive the cross/pass.
I have a vague memory of one of the commentators mentioning it. It was as if Robben wanted to be the match winner/star and undoubtedly overlooked many great opportunities to put RvP through.
So for that reason I can’t see him joining us…
Kelsey
So to the questions:
Will Park actually start a game this season? NO
Will Chamakh ever play again and if so. score this season and how many? YES, AS SUB WHEN WE’RE WINNING WITH 10 TO GO. HE’LL SCORE TWICE
How many penalties will we get and concede? GET 3, CONCEDE 2
Will Theo keep up his new found form and be given a new contract? YES AND YES
Will Arshavin remain at the Club? My gut feeling is no, though I may be wrong. What do you think? NO
Almunia is out of contract and IMO Fabianski will want regular playing time so will he stay. Mannone appears to be not of the standard required, so perhaps another keeper will be brought in. What do you think? MANNONE WILL BE No 2
We have an array of young talent waiting in the wings who have been given the odd game or so and I am sure players like Miquel, Le Coq, Yennaris and Frimpong will become first teamers given time.
Who do you think will be sold at the end of the season?Vela, Bendtner, Squillacci, to name just three. ALMUNIA AND PARK TO LEAVE, VELA, BENDY, DENILSON, ARSHAVIN, CHAMAKH SOLD (IF WE CAN FIND BUYERS)
That’s a BIG Bloggus Gassicus
Redders can be excused as he is presumably now asleep.
Kelsey is probably washing his hair, which will take an hour or two.
Oz and RurP – it’s probably midnight in Australia.
TA is in a hash cafe.
Jamie, 26 – where are you?
Right, I went away for 45 mins and still no-one’s here.

As far as Podolski is concerned, as with all transfer talk, I’ll believe it when I see it on arsenal.com
Thank Goodness – Hello NG
I liked your translation of Herb’s piece the other day.
RL, All credit must go to babelfish.
Sorry to desert you, but I’m off to watch France demolish the Taffies and then England banjax the Paddies.
Way out Rocky! 😉
Just watched Everton – Sunderland and once again not impressed by Bendtner. Just not involved enough, not strong enough, wrong attitude, passing inaccurate, etc. What is going to happen with this boy next?!
It is mothering day here tomorrow, so I guess most AA’ers are desperately shopping atm 🙂
Catch up later.
Hi Rocky I’ve had a midday nap. Back now need an espresso to get going.
The number 2 issue is necessary to discuss, do we go with the inexperience of Mannone (unproven and previously shown weaknesses)… Or do we go and get an aging type to play second fiddle but to give us the quality we need I’m thinking Schwarzer, Given, Harper, Reina (ok no hope). The second option can give us a number two to rely on until Sz gets old enough to have a proper youngster behind him and we can probably use a couple of keepers like that over the next four years.
I just lost a coment because of the WP login stuff. The gist of it was that Park is going. I think it’s a waste.
Hello GiE
It would be interesting to get a sense of how Mannone has done on loan. He has (I think) had a lot of first team experience so I would expect him to be a different proposition to the youth team player who was dropped in at the deep end a season ago.
GM
You mean you have heard he is going, or you think he will?
Rocky, 🙂
I think we should let both Fab and Mannone leave the club with Almunia, in the summer, and promote Martinez who is next in line after Chezzer.
Of course, that is why Arsenal would not have me as manager if I paid them! 🙂
Is Shea not before Martinez? Only a year separates them in age, I quite liked watching Shea for the Reserves against Norwich. Commanding (loud) dealt with crosses well….just think we need experience.
You’re right Rocky….who fancies going on the Hull blogs (do they have them?)
GIE,
I saw Shea for 2 or 3 seasons when he was in the youth teams, and I rated him about as highly as I rated Eastmond — that is not too good.
Haven’t seen him much lately, but physically he is mot as commanding as Martinez.
It’s interesting you thought he looked OK in the reserves at Norwich, and you are a good judge, but when he went out on loan I heard he had not covered himself in glory, before getting injured.
As I said, I would never get a job as a manager! 🙂
To be fair RA, he didn’t have much to do (shot stopping etc). He didn’t last long on his loan spell this season, which was a shame. And I think it is probably the end for him.
I have not seen anything of Martinez yet so have no idea whether he will come up to scratch.
My work is having three keepers at the age of 21/22 in the squad would be a big gamble.
I agree that Fab1 and Mannone should be moved on if possible.
I agree with you GIE @3.02. in fact I was hoping for that to happen before this season started. We know we were after Schwarzer.
Had a nice blue rinse RL 🙂
(Virtual whistle), Kelsey, you sexy blue rinse beast — or is that Geoff? 🙂
Kelsey I think it’s a fine line between quality experience and happy to warm the bench but come in when needed. Schwarzer will be 40 this year, could we offer him a one/two year deal whilst we wait for Martinez to mature (and then want to leave).
If Szczesny fulfils his early promise and is indeed a Gooner who doesn’t want to leave we could see him stay with us for another 18 years. He has 62 appearances for us already, the chance to play 40-50 games a season, he could finish up in the region of 750 appearances for the club.
GIE,
It’s a hard call. Originally many thought Fabianski would be the natural replacement for Almuna and I think that CL game away last season (forgot where it was) made him more nervous than he already was and he took a step or two backwards.
Szczeny on the other hand relished the new role as our number one, he isn’t fazed however many goals he lets in, but is still learning and his distribution needs working on.His has massive confidence for one so young and a keeper like Given would have been a good choice but then again he most probably would have taken the first choice and that might have thwarted Szczeny’s progress.
RA,
when you refer to Geoff some may think you mean the co owner of LG 😉
No Kelsey…that would be prefixed by something that might just contravene the site rules and/or fail the Peaches Mum test.
Dashed on to say …I think the Spuds are in trouble today looking at the two line ups.
Off (?)to read the post.
Sorry you have lost me there,SS
Kelsey – That was re your 5.18.
“So as to avoid confusion i am the one with shades and silver grey hair top row at the end on the right.”
But you only look about 45 !!!
I thought you and DanDan exchanged tales of finding dinosaur eggs as kids…well thats according to Oz.G anyway….
We do SS. 😉
It looks like you guys are really living the life out there.
*envious*
Bale scores………..in his own net! 😆
Good stuff Kelsey
Not been around much lately thanks to mountain of work to finish the term at Uni- I bloody hate Pages for Mac …. I have spent a day learning how to use it and it is a crap program. Grrrr
Anyway, hopefully I will get back to the serious stuff of football tomorrow.
Will Arshavin stay? Depends how well he does for Zenit.
Who should go? Where to start. All the loan players apart from Ryo and Henri. And the usual suspects.
Chamakh? Gone. ANd I have a sneaky feeling we will lose one of our top players this summer. Could be Song or Theo or RvP or even Chamakh.
Great questions there Kelsey.
I’ll go with the flow on the Bendys, Chams and Parks. Then it gets complicated as CL Qualification will have a bearing. Robin is tricky, and possibly an unpleasant thought, as I rather fancy I know what “sustainable model Arsenal” might do if faced with a 35m plus offer. I simply cannot get excited by Podolski (oh I’ve tried) and I’m terrified by the fact that he is so Robinlike left footed!!
If anyone isn’t watching things look very serious for Fabrice Muamba, collapsed on the pitch at WHL. Hopes and prayers with him.
What’s happened to Muamba? It sound serious on twitter
I’m not watching. I hope he’s ok.
GIE,
It looks really bad. they are pumping his chest and it looks like the game will be abandoned. Hopefully Muamba can recover as this looks life threatening.
Collapsed with no one around him GM, Gallas and Modric called for assistance, efforts to revive/resuscitate on pitch, stretchered off. Players looking upset, Gallas saying prayers. Football means nothing right now.
I hope Muamba will be okay – looks really bad 😦
Oh no. That sounds terrible.
This is heartbreaking.
Ian Dennis has also reported that Fabrice Muamba was being resuscitated for 10 minutes while he was lying on the pitch. He has now been stretchered off and I will bring you more news on his situation when I get it.
1823:
White Hart Lane is a very subdued place at the moment while everybody awaits news of Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba. Ian Dennis, BBC Radio 5 live’s senior football reporter, has just reported that Muamba is fighting for his life.
Reports saying he still wasn’t breathing going down the tunnel.
He’s only 23 and has a young son ….
Truly awful. Best best wishes to Fabrice and his family.
23 yrs old and as fit as fiddle…..stunned
ESPN: On his way to hospital now…still not breathing.
I’m absolutely terrified…..
A dickhead on ESPN now talking about all the other players who have collapsed…incl some who didn’t make it.
Wot a dopey fuck. Who wants to here all that now…??
*hear*
Tragic news..thoughts and prayers with him..
how far is the nearest hospital fom the lane?
It won’t be far RURP, two or tree miles amost…but you wouldn’t want to be going anywhere thru that part of London between 6 and 7pm. Traffic will be hellish.
I’m dreading the news that we might receive.
I’m gonna go hug my kids and try to forgot about it for a bit.
*three miles at most*
Puts it all into perspective. He’s just a kid
I’m pretty numb right here. Just don’t know what to do, just want news.
Poor, poor guy. One of ours, too.
It sounds really bad, but there’s still hope.
gm,
any reports on twitter or the local news there?
sky uk just keep repeating what we already know
No one knows for sure that he wasn’t breathing as he was taken down the tunnel as he had an oxygen mask on.Coyle and kevin davies have gone to the hospital. Don’t expect to hear anything for a while but it doesn’t look good for this young man aged only 23.
I’m crying over someone I’ve never met. This is heartbreaking. I’ve got a 23 year old
No more news at the moment except that he was taken to hospital.
The spurs fans were absolutely amazing, a credit to football supporters everywhere.
https://twitter.com/#!/Mkdan08/status/181095697217626112
Some reports saying the ambulance crew got him breathing again but that’s only a retweet on twitter with no news source.
Come on lad, your boy needs you
I hope that tweet is true.
we all do im sure..
He got expert medical attention much faster than, for example, someone who suffers a heart attack in their own home.
Many people who suffer heart attacks in their own home survive, even with the extra 10-20 mins they have to wait for treatment.
That’s got to be a hopeful factor for Fabrice.
Shocking news on Muamba. Prayers go out.
Can we AA’ers please recognise the remarkable behaviour of Spurs Players, staff, medics and supporters by refraining from calling them derogatory and insulting names over the weekend at least, They deserve our respect for the magnificent effort and support they gave Fabrice, even chanting his name as he was carried off. There are also reports that Defoe though in tears tried to start resuscitation.
Gabby Logans brother died just like this in his Garden whilst playing with his father Terry Yorath. You never know when it might be you
Off topic
I don’t agree with u on manone. People slagged fabianski off but once he regained his confidence he was a completely different animal. Manone showed flashes of brilliance against that fulham match. I don’t see any reason why he can’t do a better job.
Dandan – I also think Howard Webb handled a tough situation really well, won’t stop me from calling him any kind of name in the future, but for today, he really did well in a terrible situation.
Sky reporting he is stable
Thank God for that Irish. Hope it’s accurate.
DD – too true, agree wholeheartedly.
Lets hope Sky are not jumping the gun Irish, BBC refraining from reporting anything other than the info thats on the Bolton website.
Sky reporting that the information came from the hospital so really, really hoping its 100% accurate.
Phil McNulty is reporting it too and he works for BBC
DD
Absolutely right.
People on Twitter are saying this guy: https://twitter.com/#!/robins4479 fought off a steward to run onto the pitch and help, he’s a cardiologist or the like
This is just a tad eerie – Muamba posted this a week ago
http://yfrog.com/mnwmahvj

Some great info and stuff there Irish. Plus the Sky update is fantastic…it really gives us some hope.
That really is a beaut of a pic of him and his son.

I tried to help but didn’t get there, please get the facts correct
Apologies Irish…I meant to stick a ‘many thanks’ in there somewhere.
SS – Some much of his twitter is taken up with updates about his “lil’ man” – he looks to be about 4.
Hopefully now he will stay stable and then build up from there.
No need to thank me SS 🙂
Just cutting and pasting, all that matters is that he gets better.
I was really getting really worried at the the lack of updates…I took it as quite a bad sign.
There will be a hospital statement at 9.30
True Irish…but I’m grateful to so many on here who bring useful info to my attention, cos I’m a bit of a novice on the social media stuff.
This way I avoid all the celeb/wag shite and just get sight of the useful stuff.
Between the likes of you, GiE, GM and Chas I’m well covered for social media, and I also get some great news articles from the likes of DanDan and GN5.
I read AA and the BBC. Thats it….
He is “critically ill in intensive care”
That’s a tweet from the BBC journo – sure more detail will come in a few minutes

Bolton have confirmed that midfielder Fabrice Muamba is “critically ill” in intensive care in heart-attack unit of London Chest Hospital
Bolton statement:
Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Fabrice Muamba has been admitted to the Heart Attack Centre at the London Chest Hospital where he is currently in a critically ill condition in intensive care.
No further information will be issued at this stage.
The club has requested the media to respect his family’s privacy at this time.
just woke up to the terrible news, i hope muamba pulls through and everything works out for the best.
Just heard about Muamba an hour ago, absolutely appalling. Have always liked him, even though he only played a couple of games for us. But regardless of his Arsenal credentials, a 23 year old having a heart attack is just terrible. Here’s hoping he makes a full recovery.
And well done to everyone at Spurs and Bolton, including the fans, and also to Howard Webb. And especially all of the medics who helped.

Cardiomyopathy is a terrible condition, and even with all the technology and tests it can go unnoticed. Make sure you all get tested every 1-2 years because although you may not have a family history of heart problems it can be caused by underlying health problems.
Special mention should go out to the medics and ambulance staff who were so quick to react. They did a great job in giving muamba every chance.
23 years of age! Unbelievable.
I just hope that he can pull through for his son.
Credit to everyone who was at White Hart Lane today. Must’ve been a very shocking and emotional thing to witness. Sometimes football feels like life and death, but something as sobering as this makes you realise what’s important in life. I bet Fabrice would give up anything right now to be healthy for his boy.
My prayers go out to him and his family.
I’m glad we are hearing positive news now, like Sharkey I was very worried by length of time passing without hearing anything.
There’ a 5:30 update on Sky saying he’s still in intensive and that the next 24hrs will be critical.
thanks micky, ive been searching for a while but have had no luck
I am no doctor but I believe if the heart stops beating for a number of minutes there is a very high chance of brain damage even if there is a recovery. Therefore the statement that the next 24 hours are critical re affirms my thinking.
Hopefully this young man will make a full recovery and be able to live a normal life.
I echo what dandan said earlier last night. The majority of people are decent folk and kudos to the Spurs fans.
I guess that is the worry Kelsey, there was a programme on the Beeb the other night about cooling the brain before bypass operations and such like so that the brain has far less chance of damage.
With all the medical attention and skill at Premier League matches he was hopefully in the best place.
Very sad news about Fabrice Muamba. Just a few years ago I thought he would become the next PV4, same sort of physique and playing style. When he went to Bolton I thought AW had made a mistake.
Wishing him a speedy recovery.
Pretty sure it’s around 10 minutes Kelsey, the cells can only life without oxygen for so long before they disintegrate. I’m pretty sure they never know the extent of the injury until they come out of the coma. I did a research paper and presentation on cardiomyopathy last year and it’s alarming how often the signs go unnoticed, especially to athletes under the age of 30.
It was good to see how the spurs fans reacted to the incident.
Hopefully he pulls through unscathed and comes out on top

Since then I have done courses in all sorts of subjects
As to why I chose my current course – I moved here and found I had no cultural understanding of the Danes, so I decided to immerse myself.
Micky. True. Just finished it and the research was fascinating. Did you know that chillies are grown here? And Danes make Organic Whisky?
Sorry, about the non-football theme.
I guess no-one feels like it this morning.
Raddy,
Knowing that the post bag was empty, I determined to ink a post last night, but then the terrible PM incident took place and I called a halt to things. I can think of nothing more inappropriate than one of my posts.
There is a Chili Farm here in Devon. The wonders of the poly tunnel. Whisky in Denmark? That does not surprise me given the drinking cultures of Northern countries. Anywhere cold and dark has a “lets get pissed” way of going about things.
wow that is impressive BR, especially the internal drive you have for self betterment.
I too enjoy the classroom environment, if i could retire now i’d just study for the rest of my life, and watch the arsenal of course
Oz. That’s pretty much my life!!
Micky. I can fully understand. I started a post comparing two AFC teams. Will get back to it next week.
