The conspiracy theories surrounding William Gallas are gathering pace, will he re-sign? If so, why hasn’t he already put pen to paper? Suggestions are doing the rounds that he is unhappy with the signing of Campbell. Others ask has he joined the worrying trend that saw Henry, Hleb and Flamini all injured towards the end of the season before being shipped off shortly after.
Questions remain to this day as to whether they were really injured or had negotiations reached a point in which their loyalty to the club was in such doubt that there was a genuine worry as to whether they would play as fully committed as necessary should they have been required.
Unlike Henry who had become surplus to requirements both Hleb and Flamini were both given the opportunity to stay but declined the offer. Gallas seems to be in the same boat as the latter two, although, lets hope he make a better decision than the one that they have both come to regret.
It seems fairly obvious that Wenger would like Gallas to stay, why wouldn’t he, the stumbling block surely being his current ninety thousand pound weekly wage. It is easy to imagine that the club have made a lower offer and rightly so: common sense dictates that in the next couple of years he will be more injured, not less, resulting in less availability and less playing time which in turn justifies the offer of a lower wage.
This forces Gallas into the position of having to shop around, much will depend on the length of the contract that he is offered, I wouldn’t be surprised if the club make an exception and break their over thirty, one year extension only, rule but they will do that kicking and screaming and so I fully expect that deal to drag on all through the summer.
As for the conspiracy theories, I don’t buy into them at all, there is no doubt in my mind that Gallas is simply injured and unless he regains his fitness we haven’t got a prayer of winning the Champions League, the Premiership maybe, but the Champions League not a chance. Fortunately, Porto were pants but I can’t help thinking that a decent team would have punished us with our defence being the way it is.
Sol maybe flavour of the month and continues to bask in the adoring glow of his second honeymoon but is there anyone who doesn’t fear the outcome if selected to play against a fast flowing side such as Barcelona? — the very thought makes me wince. He is an embarrassment waiting to happen. We have just two weeks to get Gallas back or I can’t see us getting past the next round let alone the final.

Arsenal News 24/7

Morning everyone in AA
A little something to nibble on.
Morning again, “Campbell is an embarrassment” – that’s a bit harsh Raspers. I think Sol has done wonders for our resolve, especially against the physical, clogging sides and I’m glad he’s back. I’m certainly happier seeing him alongside the Verminator than Fish head.
Chill man!stop all the conspiracy theories!if we stay tight he will be fine, even terry did well against them last season by using experience and positioning.id take gallas in a heartbeat though and ibra is slow unlike eto’o.
Morning London, chary
Thought provoking and seemingly contentious post London 😉
Chary – it’s London’s post. I am a great fan of big Sol’s although he did look a bit ‘wobbly’ against Hull at times particuularly with the ball at his feet.
double double double
sol has come back to win the double
AW says he’s meeting him tommorrow so i guess we will know come friday press day
he doesn’t use the ball as well as tv and gallas but he wont run out as much as gallas does to so that helps
RSD
Wenger is meeting who tomorrow?
I think we need them both to see us achieve the double 😉 I’d certainly offer Gallas a new contract. I doubt whether Sol has another season in him although his leadership qualities have been very important to us in recent games. I hope Djourou can become a bit nastier (learn something from the Inter CB’s last night) and play a major role in the defence next season.
Ah right Raspers – I couldn’t see who had posted it.
My first instinct is to say there is not a Gallas conspiracy but the situation does show similarities with the Hleb/Flamini scenarios.
I don’t really have any doubts that Sol can handle anything we have coming up in the EPL the run in as we are all aware is fairly easy but we are kidding ourselves if we think he has what it takes to deal with the threats of the ECL.
Chary……slow news day 😉
billy is meeting AW tommorrow he said it the press meet last week
oh soz morning all
On a serious note with Sol alone we can win the EPL but with Gallas’ return we can win both.
London – we have to mention the Phoney Russian Franchise that operates from a bus stop in Fulham shurely ?
Be my guest, this one relates to our chances in the CL
RsD – I thought he was supposed to be meeting with Gallas’ representatives last week and it got pushed back a week? I’m wondering if that’s suspicious or I’ve not remembered correctly.
Gallas has been fantastic for us this season. He is a complex character. How can he have been so unprofessional as to go and sulk on the halfway line when the penalty was awarded against brum and yet be so ultra-professional by producing performances of such a high standard after being stripped of the captaincy? He may just be a professional mercenary, but it’s what he does on the pitch that counts not the motivation begind it.
Well if Stuttgart pull off a surprise tonight and the Chavs already out maybe we have a better chance for an easier draw on Friday than we thought?
I second all the Charidbis1966 says, I’d even go a little further:
Sol’s overall experience is not just on the playing side but also on the continuity front. ManU hold onto players whose glory days are well behind them but who can link new players with their traditions and instill the fighting spirit that is critical to Premiership survival.
Although I bless the ground he walks on, I think this is where Arsene’s age (31 years and beyond) policy is at its weakest. Unlike many others, I feel that the psycholoigical side of the game is where we fall down most obviously and players such as Sol (who also links us to the Untouchables) could be critical in addressing this. I hope he stays relatively fit (consider Neville here!?) and that we keep him at least until the new (and, hopefully, ‘winning’) spirit is ingrained into the new bread of Gunner.
Clever wording London,
always good to start with a bit of something contraversial.
I don’t rate Djorou. Some forget he was playing in our 2006 squad. has he improved. Sol will fill a gap in the Pl, maybe once a week, so unless Arsene has another Vermaelen up his sleeve I would like to see Galls given a two year deal, but not at 90K a week. my gut feeling is that he will sadly go . He is slightly different to the Flamini and hlebs of this world. His emotions often get the better of him, he lost the captaincy but overall he has been excellent.
Regardless of how we do this season, the core to winning or maintaining momentum is to have a solid defence, something we don’t see enough of IMO.
My dream draw:
Q/F Arsenal/Olympiacos ; Stuttgart/Lyon; Manks/Inter ; CSKA/Bayern
S/F Arsenal-Stuttgart/Lyon; Inter/Bayern
charybdis1966 you just want helb and jens back the emirates
he said it in the press meet last thursday that he would meet next thurs so must be you age or hearing 😉
nah want barca in the final pay back in the Bernabéu
Morning kelsey,
JD is a fantastic athlete who is still learning his trade. He needs to be a bit more aggressive (spiteful) Theo was a much better player when he showed some aggression and tenacity against Burnley. Clichy, Cesc, Tomas, Song and TV can all mix it whereas Bendtner, Theo, Denilson and JD could do with a bit more ‘bite’ to their game.
you dont rate JD kelsey
what about nordtveit?
he’s due to come back just need his confidence boosted some bad loan spells
Evening all
I think Sol will be Ok, i think the pacy LB & RB will be in the firing line of the quick attacks in the up coming CL fixtures. For a couple of seasons now we have all been worring about set pieces as the teams achillies heal, but Sol as put that nasty to rest. Clichy & Sagna/Eboue hold the key to The Club progressing or not IMHO, which is something that the chavs don’t get to consider anymore 😆
I think Sol has actually added something, & Billy G is great too. Billy G is 1st choice. I really think Sol is smitten that he has been given this opportunity to be playing what he is playing, & that he can pass on a wealth of knowledge to those yet to shine. Its all good 🙂
That’s what I suspected RsD – I just have a recollection of someone saying that the proposed meeting with Gallas had been pushed back a week, maybe it was in Wenger’s press conference before the Stoke game.
If we to get Stuttgart it would be nice to show our appreciation for Jens’ efforts – and as for Alexsandr “Mr Whippy” Hleb – his reception will be mixed.
Morning/evening GG,
I agree. Sol looked tired in the 2nd half against Hull. I think 1 good game a week is the most we should expect of him. I was actually calling for him to be replaced with 20 mins to go against Hull because I thought he was likely to get a 2nd yellow = red simply because he was puffing and might have been late to the challenge.
When rating a player i look at we are a team challenging for major trophies, and not a mid table team and IMO we have one or too many squad players. They do there job,but don’t give that little bit extra when required.
I have read a million stats about Denilson as well, but he’s not for me.it’s just a personal point of view.
With regards to Nordtvelt, he is untried as yet in the PL.
Having said all that, when you consider 3 broken legs this season, a multitude of injuries we are doing better than most expected.Just balance the books with a bit more experience mixed in with the youth.
Nearly all this squad haven’t had to play out this pressure period before as we turn into the home straight.
you know i read somewhere that sol is 2nd fastest in the squad now 2nd to theo just wondering if thats over 1/2 a yard or a whole yard due to sol’s legs being the size of theo?
it is a squad game
and youtube vids of denilson are getting pretty tiresome he is at the moment a squad player
but on his day like any he can be CL quality
according to denilson stats he only 2 behind Sneijder
as if
how good was he last night a bargin at 11mil
When fully fit,Sol is the best penalty box defender at the club. I mean positioning on crosses, covering, reading of the game, ability in the air, strength and tackling.
Sol was not the only tired player against Hull- Nasri , Arshavin were also obviously tired.
Yes we could do with a fit Gallas- but we haven’t got one- and his fitness record is not too great either.
Sol wont let the team down whoever we play- cant say I am as confident about Silvestre.
I agree RSD
People miss the importance of the role Denilson plays and this I believe can only be seen when you look at the team selection. We are a 4.3.3 team and I don’t see that changing for quite some time and so on that basis we know that of the middle three, Fabregas is going to be number one choice, then comes Song because of his defensive qualities then with only one slot left I suspect it would be Diaby after that, Ramsey, then Nasri then Rosicky and then right at the end comes Denilson but who else with his kind of quality would be prepared to be seventh choice. The game, as you say, is indeed a squad game and Denilson plays an important role furthermore at the age of only twenty one there is still plenty of time for him to move up the pecking order.
I can’t argue with that Goonergerry, and I do believe Sol has been a major factor in the fighting spirit that has prevented us from collapsing in the way we did after the Eduardo injury.
Sol has great positional sense, its his turning speed and recovery that are the problems.
You’re a pessimistic joke of an Arsenal fan. You shold be ashamed.
yes box to box diaby and ramsey
london
but Rosixty does work hard for the team and he doesn’t sherk his defensive responsiblity for a more attacking forward unlike some cough aa.
yet he’s getting better i even saw him make a sliding tackle in the sunderland game. did’t know he had it in him
WHAT HAS SOL DONE WRONG????????????????????
HOW MANY CLEAN SHEETS DID ARSENAL GET WITHOUT SOL?????????
THE GUY IS 35 PLAYING IN THE FASTEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD AND PEOPLE LIKE YOU THINK YOU KNW BETTER??????????
I BET YOU WERE ALSO BOOING EBOUE AND BENTNER EARLIER IN THE THE SEASON AS WELL.
LOAD OF BS!
Morning Jack/Wambam,
Welcome to the site, have a read back at previous articles before you pass judgement. There are no regulars on here who would ever boo a player wearing the Arsenal shirt.
would worry about rasp
they obviously cant read
Morning All,
Interesting post London, and as always well written.
My fourpennyworth is that Sol will get exposed in the CL, but as London says, will be great in the PL.
It was a good point about the FB’s taking the brunt of attacks, and we have two fine FB’s, but are they as good as Maicon and Zanetti? We will find out.
Just to have got to the last 8 is a testament to the team. As I discussed with SH last night, CSK would be the best for us to meet (prior to tonight’s results). He wanted the Mancs!!
Wambam
I agree, the EPL is probably the fastest league in the world, but so far Sol has played against Stoke and Hull — hardly the fastest wouldn’t you say? And look who we have left, no one pacey that’s for sure so we should be ok in the EPL but the ECL you are dreaming, nothing wrong with that but there is a realistic side as well, so I say to you, don’t get too offended if some of us chose to take it. We need Gallas back to win the ECL that is the point of the post.
My preference for Friday’s draw is as follows
Manure, Bordeux, Lyon, CSKA…
Morning SFH
Is your preference dependent on Gallas’ return?
i feel sole has been very solid i realy feel he would done alot better against drogba his experience has been a real plus to the team and is realy good buckup to gallas, its clear that bringing sole in was a gamble that worked which clearly did work with silvest,i am realy not sure what will happen with gallas he clearly will never get the same money at another club at 32 but i cant see him staying more than 2 seasons longer wenger needs to at least 1 youg cb
Lyons win at The Bernabeu reminded me of our win there and the TH wonder goal.
We really are By Far the Greatest Team…
Leon.
Nice to see yo here and welcome.
I agree that Drogba would have found Sol a difficult opponent, but let us not forget, Drogba scored against our First Choice CB’s.
You’re just a glutton for punishment SH 😉
Morning again all
Good post London – its a difficult one to call isn’t it? I was surprised how shaky Sol was against Porto and I see what you mean about him coping with whats left in the EPL. He was obviously tired as were a few others – he may have been more nervous than expected, first game at home and all, but I think he brings togetherness to the squad as an elder statesman. Gallas on the other hand has been immense this season – best in an Arsenal shirt.
Oh no……if Gallas was fit Sol wouldn’t be playing
Sol has been a great signing. Much better than Silvestre. I would like him back next year.
hi london, no, i am comfortable with sol.
i really think he will only get stronger as the season reaches a climax…
the initial cobwebs have been knocked clean from the system, he should be a lot sharper now.
i forget what a monster defender he was for us, that tackle on zayatte last week reminded me what we missed.
strikers will fear being taken out by big sol, that will play on their minds.
gallas is more likely to nick the ball than go charging in…
sol has been a real catalyst for us.
haha peaches, most definately not, i have argue my point over on my blog this morning as to why i fancy the mancs.
it’s all about the spine.
Leon
Two more seasons out of Gallas would be brilliant as for the need of another young CB — we already have one, the heir apparent is Djourou. Wenger loves him because he has pace, pace and oh yes pace.
Peaches
Sol would still play, Wenger would alternate them as he does with Eboue and Sagna
thats a good piont STH didn’t tony say at pompey with sol you just have to keep playing him if he stops he breaks down sound like me old motor
Mike G. No-one could argue with that (maybe one person could 😉
Fair point SFH
right time to do some work
be on the cell
see you guys the next time
Raddy 😉
The author of this article makes me puke…i mean, why pick on sol at this time of the season..yes he is slow, but he has verm who helps in terms of recovery….we need to be positive till the end, but if u start picking on players who are playing at the back, man u are causing harvoc…yes, i am also a blogger(www.arsenal4us.wordpress.com)and i try to push the team to the end….
So, my fellow gooner stop being negative(i know most times u are) we all want to see gallas back, but if he doesn’t recover?? do u go on crying because he hasn’t recovered and u are have a slow SOL? or u support him to get you the two trophies??
Between Sol and Silvestre there is no doubt who is better when it comes to motivation but I think it is debatable as to who is actually playing better.
BR 😉
Morning Jrock
I am the author of the post and I welcome you to the site. I have expressed a concern about Sol’s ability to deal with the likes of Barcelona. Enjoy your dreaming, my concern remain.
Agreed London.
If Silvestre were right footed I think he would have played ahead of Sol at Hull, and maybe Porto.
Exactly
Oh no Raddy – look what you’ve done – I can feel London smirking behind that ‘exactly’ 😆
…..and now I can feel a ‘peaches dearest’ coming on…..
😳 😳 😳
Bloody good post London – have you looked in stats 🙂
Peachy, Sol didn’t play against Burnley – it was Fish head. Tut tut….
Ooops you’re right chary – I got my fixtures mixed up, it was against Porto wasn’t it? I was that excited …… 😉
Yes it was Porto, I remember the excited texts I got from you on the night Peachy. Dam, I wish I’d a been there.
Morning all. Great job London I am beginning to recognise your love of tossing a brick in the pool and watching where the ripples go. nice one mate, conspiracy theory indeed. LOL.
WG will not leave IMHO our new American does the contracts now and will fix it. Flam?Hleb were of the right age, approaching their peaks, nor were they heading for two medals when they were playing silly buggers. WG could well be, what a justification for leaving Chelski that would be after last night.
As for Sol he has been a success in many areas, sure he looked tired after two games in a week, but just like Beckham and the England squad, just being there is an inspiration to the young ones during the up against it moments
Now imagine this scenario, spuds reach the semi’s of the cup, our game is switched to last game of the season, we go there as twice before, needing a result to take the league championship and big Sol is at the heart of our defence how good would that be, wouldnt all those spuds just love it. you couldn’t right the script, Oh please bring it on.
Thanx for the nice comments re my gooner thoughts from Raddy’s post.
No worries Gnarley, it was stirring stuff.
dandan – I agree, a dream scenario. We need to make sure we win that game though – the draw in 2004 was so deflating 😦
Love beating the spuds 😆
Love mashing spuds 😆
I cant see why WG10 would pass on the oportunity to win the CL and PL so I think he is injured and will be back – how would he get an oportunity somewhere else at his age? I myself favour sol but thats because I think he is a legend of a player… I think he would go well against barca as he is a big game player and should be a match for Ibrahimovic, yes lack of pace relative to the faster strikers would be his weakness… however having Willy available would be great – anyone think that any games that TV5 would need a rest – what am i talking about it will be old man sol needing the rest 😉
Peaches
You’re using the definite article…..they are not worthy of it.
Thanks for that comment Pat it is reasuring to know that apart from the regulars there are other people out there who are prepared to join us in the spirit that the post was written in.
Sorry, sorry I’ll not do that again 😳
I re read the article again – sorry its late over ere down under and trying to keep eyes open. I do share the fear that something could happen with Sol getting shown up / making an error etc, but I think alot of the team have gone through their own troubles but are not taking it lying down, they are fronting up and thats why this team is great to watch. I think in recent weeks the team attitude is giving that extra 10-15% that is getting us the over the line in those tight spots where things could go either way…
Sol really wants to win and you can see so does the rest of the team. Is that enough to get him through vs the top strikers – at least he wont have to worry about Drogba – ends the CL by getting sent off, couldnt happen to a nicer chap… wheels falling off at chelski – couldnt happen to a nicer team 😉
agree that sol is ideal for us in the PL, and willy can do the job in the CL… when he gets back – is he still on the injury list, back in training or what?
Thanks pat for coming back on – I’m sure you’re right about Gallas not wanting to miss out on a PL or Champs Lge medal. The teams focus and aggression are almost tangible now and that could be enough to carry us over the line – we certainly have the talent.
Since a ‘Pat’ has joined us this day in particular, I just wondered if any of you had noticed a change in the banner at the top of the page? 🙄
DanDan
Another fine comment if I may say so sir.
You are right, of course, in saying that I do get a certain sense of pleasure from being mischievous but it is important to me that the bloggers who I care about and you are one of them realise that I know what is and what isn’t the right side of negativity. For example, I would not think it appropriate to write such a post if Gallas was definitely out for the next round of the CL, that would be too disrespectful to Sol but as it stands I see no reason not to wish Gallas a speedy recovery; this, as I see it, will improve our chances of winning the CL.
And I certainly agree with you that the idea of winning the league for a third time at White Heart Lane is mouth watering to say the least.
What a team…….I love it …….
John Terry was questioned and breath tested last night after knocking down a member of Chelski staff after the game last night. A security man had his leg broken
Ever thought its not your night John
When my spud Brother was about 4 he used to have a model shop my father had made, whenever he played with it he had a favourite customer called Mrs Peachey, who would have thought I would correspond with her 60 years later and she would be a gooner.
Tis a crazy world we live in LOL
Some great comments today! Mrs Peachey ……..
Buggeration. I have gone black…..

Ali G would envy you Radders.
Happy Saint Patzrick’s day to ye’all
You Gotta Love the Irish
Paddy was driving down the street in a sweat because he had an important meeting and couldn’t find a parking place. Looking up to heaven he said, “Lord take pity on me. If you find me a parking place I will go to Mass every Sunday for the rest of me life and give up me Irish Whiskey!”
Miraculously, a parking place appeared.
Paddy looked up again and said, “Never mind, I found one.”

Father Murphy walks into a pub in Donegal, and asks the first man he meets, “Do you want to go to heaven?”
The man said, “I do, Father.”
The priest said, “Then stand over there against the wall.”
Then the priest asked the second man, “Do you want to go to heaven?”
“Certainly, Father,” the man replied.
“Then stand over there against the wall,” said the priest.
Then Father Murphy walked up to O’Toole and asked, “Do you want to go to heaven?”
O’Toole said, “No, I don’t Father.”
The priest said, “I don’t believe this.. You mean to tell me that when you die you don’t want to go to heaven?”
O’Toole said, “Oh, when I die , yes. I thought you were getting a group together to go right now.”

Paddy was in New York .
He was patiently waiting and watching the traffic cop on a busy street crossing. The cop stopped the flow of traffic and shouted, “Okay, pedestrians. ” Then he’d allow the traffic to pass.
He’d done this several times, and Paddy still stood on the sidewalk.
After the cop had shouted, “Pedestrians! ” for the tenth time, Paddy went over to him and said, “Is it not about time ye let the Catholics across?”

Gallagher opened the morning newspaper and was dumbfounded to read in the obituary column that he had died. He quickly phoned his best friend, Finney.
“Did you see the paper?” asked Gallagher. “They say I died!!”
“Yes, I saw it!” replied Finney. “Where are ye callin’ from?”

An Irish priest is driving down to New York and gets stopped for speeding in Connecticut . The state trooper smells alcohol on the priest’s breath and then sees an empty wine bottle on the floor of the car.
He says, “Sir, have you been drinking?”
“Just water,” says the priest.
The trooper says, “Then why do I smell wine?”
The priest looks at the bottle and says, “Good Lord! He’s done it again!”

Walking into the bar, Mike said to Charlie the bartender, “Pour me a stiff one – just had another fight with the little woman.”
“Oh yeah?” said Charlie , “And how did this one end?”
“When it was over,” Mike replied, “She came to me on her hands and knees.”
“Really,” said Charles, “Now that’s a switch! What did she say?”
She said, “Come out from under the bed, you little chicken.”

Patton staggered home very late after another evening with his drinking buddy, Paddy. He took off his shoes to avoid waking his wife, Kathleen.
He tiptoed as quietly as he could toward the stairs leading to their upstairs bedroom, but misjudged the bottom step. As he caught himself by grabbing the banister, his body swung around and he landed heavily on his rump. A whiskey bottle in each back pocket broke and made the landing especially painful.
Managing not to yell, Patton sprung up, pulled down his pants, and looked in the hall mirror to see that his butt cheeks were cut and bleeding. He managed to quietly find a full box of Band-Aids and began putting a Band-Aid as best he could on each place he saw blood.
He then hid the now almost empty Band-Aid box and shuffled and stumbled his way to bed.
In the morning, Patton woke up with searing pain in both his head and butt and Kathleen staring at him from across the room.
She said, “You were drunk again last night weren’t you?”
Patton said, “Why you say such a mean thing?”
“Well,” Kathleen said, “it could be the open front door, it could be the broken glass at the bottom of the stairs, it could be the drops of blood trailing through the house, it could be your bloodshot eyes, but mostly ….. it’s all those Band-Aids stuck on the hall mirror.
evening all

When Paddy came over from Ireland,
In praise of the AFC…….
A few pints of Genius are certainly in order tonight.
They shertainly are!
Fine jokes Kelsey. I like the Pedestrian….
to all you older folk (over 30!)
this will cheer you up. Play loud.
Hi Raddy,
That awakened something from my primeval past – was it Grandstand?
all watching our new striker play in the champs league tonight?
It was the introduction to Sports Report with all the football scores. I used to get so excited upon hearing the music.
The exact opposite with Sing Something Simple which was on at the same time as The Top 20 show with David Jacobs (I think). We were always in the car at that time – 5p.m. Sunday – & us kids were desperate to hear who was in the Top 10, but my father hated pop music so the old curmudgeon insisted on listening to The Mike Sammes singers. Still pisses me off….
Yes SH, though I may sneak a peek at Barca (sorry London, no cedilla on a Mac, or if there is I can’t find it)
Thanks for reminding us SFH
It’s our new striker for me tonight.
Afternoon all…. meetings deep today 😦
Big Raddy, that tune always came on at 5…. it was a “sharp” walk being dragged by my uncle from the game to hear it….the goold old days when all games finished at 4.45 🙂
like the Scottish league
Am I allowed to sneak a peak at our old striker too, I promise i’ll pay attention to the new one in between 😉
Hi Livers – hard day 😉
Does anyone have anything rant-like they want to get off their chest for ‘Rant Friday’ – email to
arsenalnuts@aol.com
Peaches, can you let me know when your post is in drafts please?
Yes rasp, of course I will 🙂
I have to say that Messi at Barca is quite good. He would make a good squad signing….
Just watched the Bordeaux game…got to be the ideal draw…nothing to worry about there…..even with Sol 😉 Chamakh is such a Wenger player.
Congratulations London, you have just given us our most successful day to date with over 3,000 ‘visits’ coutesy of your post, and rising to 7th place in Top of the Blogs.
Morning All.
Our new signing (not confirmed yet) looked good last night. Plenty of energy, pace, good movement and good in the air. Seeing as he appears to come in from the left wing, AW must have concerns about Vela and Eduardo..
Evening BR
TBH, I don’t reckon Vela will cut it @ Arsenal.
…….Eduardo is iffy 😉
We could well see some sales in summer. The squad is becoming unwieldy
Is CL draw today?
And is WG meeting AW for final contract negotiation?
Could we see a miraculous WG recovery?
Morning all.
The draw for the quarter and semi final is tomoorow at about 11.00 British time.
Love watching the wonders of Messi, which disproves the theory that you have to be big and well built for the physical side of the game.
I believe WG and AW are meeting this afternoon and all will be revealed.
Agreed gnarley. I don’t think Vela is in AW’s long term plans. it will be interesting at the end of May when England play Mexico in their last warm up game.
they say 11 but the usual srting it out till 2ish GMT
morning all
London
I reckon it will be Bordeaux as well.
Morning all,
Today’s new post (to be put up at 9:10) discusses our Champions League expectations.
New post.
